  1. Hey sorry guess my notifications are wonky. I already returned a cooler master masterliquid lite 120 due the radiator not fitting. Can you advise one you know to fit and supports AM4? If you have discord pm me? It’s a better platform for conversing than forums.
  2. Hi which grit sandpaper would you recommend for sanding a case ready to be primed and painted? The case in question is a Fractal Design Node 202 if it matters.

    Node 202 Plan

Hi hopefully someone who has built in the Node 202 can help me here. I am planning this build for my partner's birthday in March (she games on a laptop now boo). Anyway this is my plan, my question is regarding what I have labelled Fans 1 & 2. I was thinking exhaust on the AIO and intake for the GPU, but is this an intake/exhaust too close to each other? Should they both be intake or both exhaust? Case is ordered but hasn't shipped yet, also I don't have all the other parts yet so I'm trying to save time not testing all the possible configurations if possible.
  4. 6600k - 2 years old H series motherboard (won't be able to overclock your K cpu) 64GB RAM (very excessive, even a full time professional could make do with 32) 1050 very weak gpu compared to cpu choice HDD with no SSD for faster boots Overkill 1000W PSU All of the above are the reasons why its a bad combination. It's your 1st time, don't feel bad. Asking for opinions/advice is always ok and its how we learn
  5. That build is wrong, poorly balanced, outdated and a dvd drive (completely unnecessary in 2017) won't fit a corsair spec. This is modern, same budget and far more balanced. Am I the only one who likes Finder more than Fi…

They are both easy to use and do the job equally well but differently. After all its just a file browser... All that us left after that is appearance and that's just personal opinion, so neither is better.
  7. Clearly you've never had a hobby
  8. 1. Read the OP he wants to do things other than gaming where physical cores will matter. 2. A 1200 is overclockable and once you do so it will beat the pentium in all areas including gaming. tldr: Read the OP He kneecapped it by not overclocking it thats how. Whereas the pentium can't overclock EDIT: (He realised this and is redoing the video, see his twitter for proof) Mind is blown how you managed to spend so much money and build a meh PC. Locked i5? Buying an i5 or any Intel cpu right before coffeelake?? This fits the budget, looks badass and has room to grow/upgrade. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/tom_w141/saved/#view=m8szyc Or wait for CL as its only a month away No you can't What you mean is there is one listed for £76 CURRENTLY, but it has several bids/watchers and nearly 5 days to go. That will finish around the £200-300 mark like the others listed. The thing with Ebay is that all the bids fly in at the end via sniping programs. So annoying when people say "you can buy X really cheap on Ebay" when its just a listing lmao
  9. Stop you are embarrassing yourself. Outside of 144Hz gaming a 7700k is not required R5 beats an i5 see here. Honestly do your research next time you are making yourself look a fool. You can save yourself about $150 by going with an R5 1600 and spend the money on the gpu where it will actually make a difference
  10. The 1800X and TR 1900X exist for this reason. Buying the lower SKU is a diceroll on your max overclock. To guarantee the higher clocks you pay for the binned chips.
  11. @GR412 I suspect the stock cooler is holding you back. Regarding your question. Can you? Yes. Morally however its a dick move to return your product based on its (lack of) overclocking headroom. Your retailer has to foot the bill and now sell it as used for much less.
  12. Both of you above your discussion is rather irrelevant as the leak is wrong, the i3s are 4 threads. You disgrace us with your cut off avatar, shame!
  13. FYI coffeelake is Q4 2017 so if you need your PC thats quite a wait
  14. AFAIK the G12 is compatible with all current GPUs (except maybe vega as its brand new)
  15. He was referring to this https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Hybrid-Generic-120/dp/B0156R6VPY/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1502737924&sr=1-4&keywords=arctic+accelero
  16. You need the bracket sold by NZXT and any Asetek AIO: https://www.nzxt.com/product-overview/kraken-g12 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/LyYXsY/corsair-cpu-cooler-h50
  17. Clearly I need to start adding /s to more of my posts... ^
  18. *sigh* for like the 1000th time. You shouldn't be on anyone's "side". You should buy what best suits your needs. An R5 1600 beats an i5 7600k in every way, however for content creation it crushes and buries it. Get the 1600.
  19. Hey Z270 stayed relevant for nearly a year, thats value
