Off the bet i will say i hate crapple so a youtube channel just on crapple would never be something that was for me.
 
I will say anyone working on a youtube channel and is able to make it work, good on ya that isn't easy.
 
That said i think youtube channels who focus only on crapple are part of the cult if they want to admit it or not.
I have no issue with a clean and minimal production but i just really dont like the style or look of mac address that's why its the only LTT channel i dont sub to or watch. crapple only channels try to appeal to crapple fanboys and when they do that will never have any content worth watching IMO at that point your no better then crapples press release.
 
Before anyone calls me a windows or PC fan i bloody hate microsoft, Im a fan of PC's yes but for what they let you do with them unlike crapple where its what crapple lets you do with em and only if the dev scratched crapples back.

crapple has built a cult around the brand and the crap they sell just because it would be in the top 3 answers it doesn't prove there a tech brand just means people who buy there shit really believe all the hype and marketing behind it. 
 
You have no idea who i am or what i did, i built the I.T at the place from the ground up but working for an organization you don't make all the chooses.
 
I told my boss when we needed new computers that we could get faster, newer and better computers if we went with windows over crapple devices the response my boss told me. i don't care if crapples not the newest or most powerful for the price its about the image and people say crapples look better.

When the person who's in charge doesn't care about the performance value of the hardware and says it's about the image they have drunk the kool-aid of crapples marketing BS. 
 
To be clear i don't think windows computers are better, many are much worse but for a business who's spending money on over priced hardware because the boss thinks they look better vs a desktop with more performance hardware they are actively choosing to waste money while also slowing down the business.  
 
I get your point but it's not a zinger it's what i call em, if you watched Mr Robot he called E Corp "evil corp" and i just call them crapple and i think its appropriate.
 
The examples you gave are they the only reason you think they are the "best tech company"? to use your words.
You also forgot there bad for the environment, anti-consumer, hostel towards there developers, consumer and partners, pathological liars, care about your privacy as long as you don't live in china or other parts the world where its not convenient, extremely overpriced for hardware upgrades, so far up themselves that nothing is ever there fault its the users for using it wrong and arrogant as a company i could go on but i cant be bothered.

I watch WAN show, TechLinked, GameLinked and other youtube channels as well as read other tech news sites that just keep talking about "AI" crap.

I can only speak for myself but i have no interest beyond just being a curious cat.
I would assume given this being a tech based forum that it would have more people using 2 or more operating systems with linux/linus being 1 of them in some form but no clue.

Just finished watching the video and i have 2 questions.
 
1. Why is LTT keeping major videos like "How LTT Labs Test Products" behind the floatplane paywall, doesnt this go against them being open and sharing the process of labs content with the community?
I get floatplane is something there trying to push and they have a lot of exclusive content there but i would think sharing this video with the 99% of the community would be the better community spirit they are going for. IMO 
 
2. Since GamersNexus made the video they cause issues at LTT it seems like they are going out of there way not to talk about GamersNexus or even mention them. I don't keep up with the drama going on between Youtube channels its just an observation and i am happy to be wrong if I've missed something.

Something else you should look at doing is publishing a record of the fixes.
To a forum post or a page somewhere so a record can be viewed with corrections.
 
If someone watched a video that got removed or changed that can view what video was changed, what the issue was, how it was changed.
If a video gets replaced or removed there should be a record of it so if anyone watched the wrong version they can go back and see they watched a video that got removed or replaced and the info they are basing there knowledge on could be wrong.
 

I just hope the community doesn't go crazy because it takes so long.
Any sort of investigation will take weeks or months depending on how complex it is.
Also given privacy there may be things about the investigation they cant release.
 
But the community should hold LTT to releasing what they can.

I think they should also add a version number so if updates or changes happen its clearly tracked and known that a video from 1 yr ago fits in with v1.0 SOP and a video from today for example is from v1.1 if it was updated.
That way if the standards get updated in time assuming they do people can look back at older videos and know it may not meet the newer standard of the SOP.
Could help cut down on people applying the wrong version of SOP to videos if in a year things change.
 

I have watched the WAN show on and off for years now.
I don't think the idea of having corrections is a bad idea but there needs to be a more long term method of viewing corrections.
I also think having corrections on the WAN show opens them up to having more errors because they may miss understand the error or have a hot take on the error such as linus had with the water block.
It could open there correction up to needing to be corrected.
I think they need some form of video correction but a long term running document of corrections that can be reviewed by the community and updated if needed.

I don't disagree but at the same time it isn't the hardest thing to bypass.

This post should be in the Featured Topics area on the side of the page so others can see it and review it.
