NoxiousOdor reacted to ItsMitch in Ticketmaster UK is the next victim in a data breach
    S: Ticketmaster & ICO
Ticketmaster UK has confirmed to the authorities and to ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) teams they have suffered a data breach on the 23rd of June (They have confirmed it today) the timing is in line with the new EU GDPR guidelines on disclosing any kind of data breaches to the potential victims. Ticketmaster also believes they have acted "very well" in accordance to GDPR guidelines on full disclosure.

    What was breached?
Ticketmaster believe from their internal review that: Email addresses, passwords, telephone numbers, payment details and Ticketmaster login credentials was stolen from their servers.
    Will I be contacted?
Yes, Ticketmaster will be sending out emails to all its users to inform them.

My personal thoughts on this are fairly simple, it's good that Ticketmaster quickly disclosed the issues to the authorities and to it's customers, it's sad that it's reputation will take a hit although, but that's the costs of having a data breach.

it's 100% stable at those settings, i use it as encoding pc and am really happy with it
going from 4.4 to 4.5 i didn't really notice much of a performance gain either, but i do want to see how far i can push and see what cinebench R15 score i can get.

i might go for some leaderboard hunting on hwbot, seems fun to do ^^

That's a really good overclock all around. I'd call it a day at that!

Mine barely does 4.5 @1.4. It'll do 4.7 GHz but it's well past the point diminishing returns. I'm also using a 240mm AIO cooler, not an air cooler, so you're doing extremely well!

I'm going to let Elon Musk Talk about this:
Since you're talking a British incident, let's look at Britain.
OK so as of 2016 the numbers were 1792 dead and 179,592 injured in auto accidents. But sure lets focus on one incident where someone operating a SEMI-Autonomous vehicle was not paying attention enough to prevent a crash into the back of a stopped vehicle and despite the speed of the collision managed to get out with just a broken ankle
And before you say she might have been paying attention
Eventually we will get to a point of not needing to look, but even the makers of autonomous vehicles tell everyone to STAY ALERT. So when they don't stuff like this could happen. Should we stifle progress because of these people who don't pay attention? I think not. As I said was part of the current abilities, you must:
Now you might say, "But the accident was still caused by the car malfunctioning."
True, but people like to forget the same thing for normal vehicles

Here's a small list of common malfunctions in normal cars that can cause serious accidents, even death.

I think that is already a pretty good overclock! it is nice to hit 4.5 on less than 1.4V you could try going higher but it would seem that some of the chips don't like going too much higher without major cooling and upping the voltage too much more will start to impact your cooling. If you do want to go higher though try talking to @Ground as they are our regular overclocking person

And now we are caught up to this past weekend and where I will make continued progress to finish this summer.

This past weekend I sanded, washed, wiped, and then primed the parts.

All washed and drying in the sun.

Learning the hard way that if I plan to do more projects like this I should invest in a good paint system.

Forgot to mention I cut the top portion of the side case panels out for the bottom deck so that the bottom reservoirs will be visible.

    More priming..

    All done with primer.

Next weekend I will move on to wet sanding and then start on the first coat for the final color. I want to do like a pearlescent white.

Thank you for visiting and sharing with me!

Originally I thought I wanted to do a black/green/purple build but I've since scrapped that idea and want to do a white/silver/black build.
I've done lots of cutting and filing of all the edges and cut areas getting ready for primer.

These next few images should give a good idea of what I am looking to accomplish.
    ______

Ordered a custom cut glass top for the case.

The system will ride on casters for easy moving.

Plotting out where to punch the pipe pass throughs to the top from the lower deck.

    Annnnd drilled out.

Reservoirs from the lower deck under the top deck. Lots of reservoirs in this.

    Front window cutout.

    Planning the radiators/pumps layout.

Bitspower brackets for the Bitspower reservoirs.

    More pics on the way.

So...bear with me on this one. I started this project nearly two years ago and then a bunch of life stuff happened and I dumped it in a corner and then struggled to pick it back up. Now that I have gotten back into it I feel like I am rediscovering my love for enthusiast computing, and it has been a great feeling and a big help in getting through some stuff. Since I was a teenager and built my first computer I've always wanted to do a crazy over the top custom loop build. I've done many water cooled builds over the years but they were pretty generic. Now, in my thirties, I have the resources and some know how to make that "dream" become a reality.

This is the first time I've ever done a customized case project of this scale, and I am learning A LOT as I go. I've made some mistakes, some uneven cuts, and even redone some stuff. It won't be perfect but I'm trying my best to get as close to perfect as I can within my abilities. Somethings I kinda was like...well I'm not perfect so this is a good reflection of that.

The general plan is to stack two gutted Thermaltake Core X9's on top of eachother and make a dual loop hardline system in it. The lowest level will house the radiators, pumps, and some reservoirs, while the top will house the hardware and the cooling will pass up to it. The top will have a glass window front, top, and sides.

In terms of practicality....well....it isn't. This is just what I thought would look cool and I've got a vision in my head that I tweak as I go. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here are some pictures of where I started about two years ago and my next post will show my recent progress and changes.

Working on the next post/batch of pics.

Hey guys, a while ago I made a post here about a x58 build.
Basically this build happened because after 1 year with a macbook pro, I wanted a gaming PC, but I fixed myself a budget. So i thought to myself  what could be budget and powerful at the same time? You're right, x58 platform.

I do photography and some light video editing, so it was perfect.

I got the CPU and the motherboard first, and I was gonna wait a few months to buy the rest.
This is where it went down south.
So as I said i bought the CPU and the motherboard of eBay, and literally 10 mins after that, I had bought everything else. Oopps.

So the build is as follows :
    Case : NZXT S340 Elite
    CPU : Intel Xeon x5670 @ 4.00GHz
Cooler : Corsair h100i GTX (i already had that)
    Motherboard : Asus P6x58D-E
    Memory : 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1400 MHz ish
Storage : Corsair Force LE Series 120 GB
Storage : Western Digital Blue 2 TB
GPU : EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC ACX 3.0
    PSU : EVGA Supernova 750w G2L

    And god, it's beautiful

I was so exited i forgot to take pictures during the build, so here are some after the build was up and running (better pics will come, but i just wanted to show to you guys this baby) :

A little update to the post i made on June 17.

After i got tempature sensors from the fan controllers sat the correct places, i saw something i dit not like. Motherboard chipsæt got fairly hot in the very hot summerdays (over 35 degress celsius in the hottest time of the day) we have where i live right now and then mix the high out side temperatures with a high clockket CPU at 4.42 GHz at 1.41 volts and a GTX 1080 TI that can put out a good amount of heat (when oc op to 300 watts of heat) when i game. I think you can guess that chipsæt gets pretty toasty when the pc is under high stress like demanding games or benchmark.

So i had two options either lower OC on CPU and GPU or put some fans on the chipsæt. I chose fans on chipsæt and in the same round i replaced the cpu cooler fans as well to get the CPU cooled properly in these hot summerdays with out have to lower my OC.

So these are the new fans i got. With a high static pressure as well a CFM. These are perfect for the job. Noise is a bit higher, but noctua can make high performances fans without the high pitch high RPM fans else can have. Dont get me wrong, they are still loud a max RPM, but they have a more pleasant sound than the old Silver Stone FM121 120 MM fans i used before that suffers from high pitch.

So after another replacing of fans, the systems looks like this now. Try to look pass the cable ties holding CPU cooler now. Had to do it else the cooler would hit the small fans on chipsæt and make a bad noise. Yeah as a fellow nerd you properly know how it sounds if something hits a fan, not a nice sound. But oh boy are cable ties great for other things than holding cables.

So here are what is new other than cpu fans. Chipsæt now has fans and the fans next to GPU as exhaust is now 60 MM fans, just cut not find any one in black so had to take what i cut get.

Hello there, and thank you for stopping by. I do realize that this is increasing my Content Count, so have no worries - I do still intend to keep my Reputation counter significantly higher than the former (metric mentioned). But, that point is not why you are here. No, you are here for my aged workstation, and that you shall receive - along with a bit of backstory.

A few months ago (back in April/May of 2018), I was playing around with frame interpolation in SVP when I noticed that I was somewhat hampered by my system. The same conclusion was also drawn when I relented over the fact that:
in OBS, I couldn't realistically use CPU-based software encoding in Bandicam, I rely on nVIDIA driver drop-ins to enable CUDA-based video encoding (because my CPU wasn't capable) With this in mind, I found that I may be due for a hardware upgrade. For any of you who do remember, I actually had the specs for the original system posted in my LTT profile - but they are no more (since my most recent upgrade). Here are the important parts:
CPU :: Intel Xeon X5472 (LGA771-to-775 mod sticker) RAM :: 8GB (4x2GB) PC2-6400 DDR2-800 DIMMs GPU :: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti + GT 520 SFX :: Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 (SB0240) STR :: 4TB Seagate Central + 500GB Seagate Barracuda + 320GB Seagate Barracuda HDD MOB :: GIGABYTE EP45-UD3P PSU :: Seasonic S12 Energy+ SS-650HT (650W) NOTE :: This was my first-ever hand-built system. If you're wondering about how I got the Xeon to work, it did involve microcode updates. Somehow, I was totally fine applying unofficial mods to my first-ever PC build. But, that's besides the point. Due to the limits I faced in hardware, I decided that it was time for an upgrade. I started by looking into other Xeons of the same socket, like the X5492. But, its price was pretty high (and still is) for a used server CPU from 2007/2008. In addition to this, it had little OC'ing potential when compared to the X5472 (that of which I had upgraded to from the X5450 I originally had), and would produce way more heat under load - something I wasn't looking forward to dealing with under the Intel stock cooler at the time. I could have tried undervolting, but that would have somewhat (nominally) hindered the boost in core-clock(s) I was looking to take advantage of. No compromises - no holding back. With that path scorched, I soon found myself looking a the proposition of getting an entirely new computer.

Of course, my parents weren't too happy with the idea - but they aren't working with hardware that is half their age  And they aren't buying me hardware last I checked - I made an agreement with them stating that they couldn't buy me anymore hardware after the last fiasco I faced at my second college. In addition to this, I found that my parents are not good at scoping out high-performance hardware in any form. So, I took on the challenge myself - with a tight budget. My first job at Amazon had left me just enough to go for it, along with some of the leftover dollars from my time as a hobbyist eBay seller. After weeks of searching, I finally settled on a certain Dell Precision T7500, equipped with a single Intel X5650 and 12GB DDR3 ECC RAM - nothing else (and one of the sticks was faulty - replaced later on). I had it stripped of all other components to save on the initial cost, and decided that I could upgrade it later.

I detailed the entire process in subsequent  Status  Updates, those of which you are not required to read. But, long story short, that led to my extended dabbling in Hypervisors and now, my recent testing of unRAID 6 (that of which I have not made a Status Update about - yet). My current specs are listed on my LTT profile. I have two Intel Xeon X5680's coming in the next two weeks, and will be scouring the net for a cheap GTX 1060 6GB. This build is still incomplete, and does not have Windows installed yet (still getting unRAID setup). If you have any suggestions about what I should do next with this old workhorse, please feel free to comment down below. I'd be happy to test things out  I'll be even more capable of running benchmarks once I get Windows installed, so be on the look-out...

And yes, @Densetsu, I heard you:

And yes - all desktops that I've built/bought for myself contain Xeons. Not a single consumer CPU. Come at me brah.
