  1. I was backing up files off an old IDE and saw some nude pictures of the person's daughter. I imagine the daughter used some kind of auto-backup and I don't think the mother ever looked in the picture folders because the mother was either fine with it or had no idea they were there. I didn't say anything because that's not what I was there for, and I don't know if anything happened later
  2. I meant the ones that make $75 and sometimes $200 an hour when they're on call, and I'm pretty sure they aren't in unions. This is in my area, probably different for other places. I don't know any engineer personally that makes that much
  3. Nurses make a lot of money. Some make more than engineers. Why is there no massive push to get more male workers in the nursing force?
  4. Why do people keep paying money for games that aren't finished and will never be finished? Then again maybe it's more sad that broken, buggy games with crappy developers is a more fun ride than the AAA titles they keep churning out
  5. Since the game has more preorders than Destiny 1, yes. Kind of a dumb statement. However all this garbage is making me not want to get it on PC for a while, but knowing Blizzard's client sales it'll never be on sale so I may never end up getting it
  6. The quality control on those chairs is nonexistent. I bought a Maxnomic chair that's awesome, feels great, it's lasted me 2 years now which means it's paid itself off since I had to buy cheap office chairs every 6 months before My brother bought one too. It sucks. Their support just totally ignored him. Don't buy streamer chairs, you don't know what you're gonna get
  7. EVGA anything really, Samsung SSD's, and Seagate drives
  8. I hope tickets don't cost as much as Bullet Train tickets. All we need now is one of these from NY to LA
  9. Ah yes yet another supposed miracle battery that we'll never see... and isn't even in English
  10. It hasn't really been 'slowly growing.' The entire planet but a few countries use it, I'm pretty sure all modern cars for at least the last 5 years in USA use it, all of USA's science teams use it. It's just everyday things like MPH and gallons that have been used since the country was founded that USA won't switch but I imagine the world's only superpower will use whatever darn flippin measuring system they want
  11. Seems to me Intel will win the 'smack in the face' advertising. If you showed Intel's ad then AMD's melancholy response to a random consumer, they'd probably still pick Intel
  12. I expect what I buy to last more than a year and if it doesn't I move on to someone else
  13. Logitech, anything I ever bought from them has broken Turtle Beach, same problem Rosewill, same problem ASRock, same problem MadCatz, same problem Lenovo, just terrible support Sony used to be on the list until I bought a PS4, but it's back on the list because my USB ports don't work and my controller will not hold a charge. It also skips when playing blu-rays, requiring me to use my Xbone instead which is hilariously ironic As for not tech companies Anything Ford Ryobi Megablocks Pepsi products
  14. https://www.amazon.com/LG-WH16NS40-Internal-Blu-ray-Rewriter/dp/B00E7B08MS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1500265506&sr=8-1&keywords=blu+ray+drive+pc LG makes some good ones. I switched to them after whatever brand I had before kept skipping on playback, but if you're just ripping/writing
  15. Yes but if it's illegal on the books we at least can't be prosecuted for it
  16. Before doing that... get some cheap keyboard from Walmart and try that first. If your motherboard has a PS2 port get a USB to PS2 adapter and see if that works
  17. Kinda surprised the outlet wasn't GFCI, or maybe it was and it needed replaced. Remember to test them if you have them
  18. I feel like he'd have greater success putting it on Etsy or something like that and trying to sell whatever he can to the inevitability few people who want it, and I kinda want it
  19. I'm not sure it'll make a difference with or without them. My friend has Time Warner (or Spectrum I guess they're trying to call themselves now) and despite their very very adamant claims that he isn't throttled, he still gets ridiculous pixelation and lag on anything he streams yet downloads Steam games at a solid 20MB/s. And of course content streamers themselves seem to throttle if too many people start watching. The companies are just ignoring the government then chalking it up to technical issues, and that's kinda hard to disprove when you're "actively trying to fix it" until the number of users on at the same time drop. Still Trump's administration is about deregulation, getting rid of net neutrality is no surprise to me but I wouldn't mind it being in place. I guess it could end up being like sites that actively try to prevent adblock though, people just won't use them
  20. What no gigabit per second is 125MB/s. No contracts or data caps either with MidCo
  21. Interesting they want to do this in the Dakotas since a lot of the rural places I know there have MidCo, which now has gigabit speeds
  22. wtf even is hexus, next thing I'll play Starcraft and put down a Nexus and get triggered thinking it's a crappy news site
