  1. As long as Microsoft owns the vast majority of OS market share developers won't move to Linux. I doubt users will move, we've had so much garbage locked down over the years and just rolled over and accepted it I can't see any world where an OS will be different
  2. Probably had to announce it short notice so people wouldn't have time to sneak their own cameras into it. It'll probably still happen but hey less likely I guess
  3. Didn't that ludicrous spending bill Congress just passed start holding websites accountable if trafficking was carried out on their site? Might be a legal response to that but I don't understand this whole "blame the entity" instead of "punish the individual" that's been going around the world these days
  4. I remember going there and everything being twice as expensive as Walmart so I never got to buy anything. They always had fun toys but I think the only thing I ever actually bought from Toys R Us were Amiibos, a year ago
  5. I wonder if this means -Food won't be randomly good and randomly bad as often -Nobody can spit in my food now -Asking for minimum wage hike brought this on faster than otherwise -The food will be even cheaper because they don't have to pay people to work there anymore
  6. I list one tax, and my surprise at the difference. Pretty sure the NHS isn't funded on sales tax Then there's a jump and trashing of US's health care I don't really see how that jump was made, but it doesn't matter. I guess I'll sit here alone in my surprise at people having to pay 200 pounds extra if they spend 1000 pounds somewhere. Since 200 pounds is almost 300 dollars... that'd cover me for 3 months for health insurance
  7. i don't know how you're spinning this into a healthcare argument but I admire that capability
  8. They said they're fixing it, sounds like the time hasn't been erased but it's displaying it wrong. I still have my 200 hours in breath of the wild which I probably shouldn't be proud of
  9. If it's just cosmetic then I don't really care, but I still hate seeing microtransactions in single player games. Terrifies me what they'll do to Elder Scrolls 6
  10. Kinda their fault for relying solely on Facebook, and 100 employees? There's YouTube channels with less people and more subscribers than they had followers. Sounded doomed to fail
  11. If you sell it for money then you have to report that as income If you report it as income, it'll be taxed In America these are the laws, crypto was under the tax radar for a while but it was never going to last
  12. 1440p is great for the extra pixels when using the desktop, but I usually still play games at 1080p so I can max them out without having to upgrade my GPU
  13. Unless they made it like some of the Assassins Creed games where it's oddly impossible to find the save file for no good reason
  14. Censoring the statues is like Facebook deleting that photo of the holocaust girl... pointless. Ubisoft tries, but that's all they ever do
  15. Hopefully we never have people in the supreme court who would allow an outright gun ban. The first thing dictators attempt to do is disarm their citizens, and also kill or imprison the educated people A reminder of the second amendment, because people forget: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
  16. lol, back to video games causing mass shootings. Thought we left that behind in 2006
  17. Going to be really interesting when nothing changes, because I don't feel like enacting net neutrality changed anything. My ISP at the time just slapped us with a data cap.
