If you're planning on purchasing, don't go more than two-way SLI, as most modern programs do not support it (neither does NVIDIA). If you have $$$ for days and don't want it go with the 2x Titan XP. The most reasonable would be 2x 1080ti, as it would perform basically the same for most practical tasks, and is much less expensive.

If you are planning to play games on it you really should Bootcamp Windows. VMWare does not give you full access to the GPU.

If you ran in Bootcamp the Vega 56 (or 64) are more than capable of gaming at those resolutions. I don't know how well it would do in a virtual machine.

Bootcamp is free, all you need is a Windows 10 license if you don't want the water mark after 30 days.

The custom build you have there is basically top of the line so yeah, it'll blow the mac away for games, hands down.
I just have to say one thing about your parts list; why do you have two separate 16GB kits of TridentZ instead of one 32GB kit?

That's true. The only real market for a $3000 graphics card is organizations and individuals engaging in deep learning activities. The tensor core technology positions this as much more attractive for organizations in machine learning, especially compared to its predecessor $3000 card the Titan X.

Definitely depends what kind of music you're playing. For $209 it's not bad, especially if you're just learning. You don't need anything to fancy when beginning and, honestly, you probably wouldn't even be able to feel a difference.

That being said, if as you pick up you decide to invest more into it, I'd definitely look into a new amp and eventually a new guitar. The amp, as many before me stated, isn't going to be powerful enough for any kind of a performance. Furthermore, the clean sounds will be thin and the gain sounds extremely mushy. The guitar should last you for a a couple years, but I'd look into getting a guitar more specific to the genre of music you like eventually, and expanding your budget to do so.

You could also look into buying a used guitar and amp in the future, but I'd be wary based on conditions. I, personally, only buy used but it's up to your discretion.

Overall, this is a great and beginner friendly set up to get into the guitar and learn, and it is definitely worth it for the price. That being said, I would consider upgrading the amp, then the guitar, down the line.

    Hope this helped!

Volta is not coming to the mainstream, it is identical to Pascal aside the Tensor Cores, the TITAN V is just a TITAN Xp on steroids (HBM2 and more of the same CUDA Cores).

You'll have to wait until 2019 with Ampere architecture release for the GTX 2000's series.

TITAN V released due to the need of those Tensor Cores on the enterprise level.

jaysangwan32 reacted to bowrilla in Opinions on this guitar/amp bundle?
Well, I agree with most of what you've said but it should be added that it's less about the guitar and more about the pickups. You can pretty much play anything with every guitar if you've put in a different set of pickups (or different wiring). Of course, different woods sound differently but this is generally about nuances. The biggest effect of all the hardware stuff next to pickups, pickup wiring and pickup placement is probably the question of set-in neck, bolt-on neck or neck-thru construction. Again – a beginner will most likely not hear the difference.

But hey, you can play metal on a (semi) hollow body Gretsch – if you know how to handle feedback. Give your Les Paul coil-splitting wiring and push pull pots and you get lovely cleans with less oomph. Put some hot humbuckers in a Tele and … I guess you get what I mean.

At the end, the best guitar for each individual player is the one he or she has and which gets them playing. Looks do have their part in this. If you love the look of it and you adore it then of course you'll pick it up more often and just get playing. Even if it's a shitty worn down guitar – if you love it then you'll play it. You might be cussing that cheap Floyd Rose on your cheap Strat rip off but if it gets you playing then it's fine.

There's one good thing about used guitars, which is unbeatable though: if you happen to find out that it's just not your instrument then you can sell it for almost no loss. If you've bought it new then the initial loss is all on you.

It's all a matter of coding stuff though, I know this will never be effectively used as much, doesn't change the fact there are people wishing we advance so much regardless, the more we can take advantage in real time from the advances in technology the better for richer world games.

Thing I meant mostly was in linear / story driven and rpg games though, in a point of view to give a richer amount of said motion, I'm more interested in that kind of immersion than straight out shooters like half life and crysis.

Regardless day dream how we could use this power on games is fun but unrealistic... TITAN V shouldn't be bought for personal usage regardless how you put it, only for it's professional level meant.

Most games today have AI that's smart enough to react to what you're doing. They just lack fine motor skills to perform some actions with more finesse. And if you want the something like outcomes that affect the actual plot or something itself, then that's not an AI thing. Unless you really want an AI trying to make a story which at the rate of things I don't think AI is capable of doing. Well, anything coherent.

The other problem is you need to make sure your AI isn't too smart. The game needs to be fun. And to be fun, you should be able to win. I don't think Call of Duty would be fun even on Recruit if the AI suddenly had Navy SEAL level tactics. The other part is sometimes the AI is constrained at what it can do. If the AI is given hallways with barrels for cover, that "finding cover" aspect isn't going to look impressive. Also a lot of times you don't pay attention to what they're really doing. The enemy in front of you may look dumb, but you didn't see two others going around to flank you and then suddenly you died.

You have to agree though, imagine The Witcher 4 with super hyper enhanced AI allowing far more multiple possible outcomes depending on how you behave with each of the AI making almost each instance of the game you have unique... I'd buy Tensor Cores for that

These results seem fairly compelling, and makes it seem as though a GeForce Volta line may be significantly more powerful than the current 1080ti (speculative). Obviously you might wanna take these with a grain of salt, because they have not been verified as aforementioned, but still shows what might be possible. If they're true, I'll be sure to pick one up to achieve pinnacle performance in Minecraft.

    I have a dual monitor setup, a 28inch 4K 60hz and a 27 inch 1440p 165hz.
From my sitting position, I don’t notice too much difference in terms of image quality between these two especially when I am gaming, I will watch most of my videos on the 4K one. But when it comes to gaming, the high refresh rate really makes a night and day difference. My rig is i7 8700k, and 1080ti ftw3, I barely hit 60 FPS in 4K for most of titles. If you are going for 4K 120hz, you will need a much beefier setup. If I were you, I will just get 1440p high refresh rate right now. It is quiet a experience.  And do get a IPS and gsync, it is essential.

The Non-RGB version - They perform extremely well, They out perform Noctua and BeQuiet. Since they push allot more CFM. They're deadly silent, Even at around 1300 rpm's.
The RGB versions are different, the only reach about 1200rpm's(140), there performance are going be less compared to normal ML Pro's and other fans that have higher rpm's.

on side note if your look at BeQuiet Silent Wings 3 PWM version. The PWM version does not get along with some Fan controllers on the market.

They are actually quieter then Noctua (they don't give off that annoying humming sound).

Performance: It's a given since RGB version are the not the same as the Standard LED or Non-LED ML Pro's. There max RPM's are much lower.

Noiseblocker are much thicker fans(There going to be a performance difference).Noiseblocker blade design do not work well in pull. They also use magnetic bearing technology.

    1. Yes they are, I have tested both. Noctua has humming noise, which is very annoying.
    2. duh. There some except to this.
    3. 140 was being used.

You want want to look at EK's new MLC series. Which is a modular AIO system and there copper base radiators.

If you use your motherboard fan headers, you use software like Asus Fan expert to control the fans on the AIO. Most of the AIO software like CAM and Corsair is garbage.
