  1. It appears that NVIDIA Titan V gaming benchmarks have been leaked. These results seem fairly compelling, and makes it seem as though a GeForce Volta line may be significantly more powerful than the current 1080ti (speculative). Obviously you might wanna take these with a grain of salt, because they have not been verified as aforementioned, but still shows what might be possible. If they're true, I'll be sure to pick one up to achieve pinnacle performance in Minecraft. Link: https://www.techspot.com/news/72241-first-titan-v-benchmarks-show-how-compares-gtx.html
  2. I would love to see even 75 hz gaming. 60 hz is what I'm currently playing at. This monitor hasn't been a good investment, especially since it was purchased when 4k was fairly new. I also knew nothing about refresh rate at the time of putting together my current rig, and really just wanted to see 4k resolution. Definitely should have done more research before buying at the time, which is why I'm making sure I make a worthwhile purchase now!
  3. Would DP 1.4 be the interface for 4k 120hz. Admittedly, I am not familiar with the technology involved at all.
  4. I bought it when 4k monitors were fairly new (4 years ago). In retrospect, it was not a smart buy (feelsbadman)
  5. I mainly play Overwatch, PUBG, and R6 Siege, which unforunately all benefit from a higher resolution and refresh rate
  6. Is there any reason to also wait on the GPU?
  7. Hey guys, I'm upgrading my computer soon to an 8700k-1080ti rig. I was curious whether or not I should buy a high end 1440p 100hz/144hz monitor now (e.g. Acer Predator X34, ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR) or wait for the speculated Asus 4k 120hz monitors. I'm not positive what the name of my current monitor is; however, I know it is a Samsung monitor 4k 30hz from roughly 3-4 years ago. Should I spend the extra money on the high end 1440p monitor or wait? Thanks for the help
  8. Sorry for late response. Do you think those fans would be adequate in a 240?
  9. I looked at the AER fans but I don't mind using multiple programs, as long as it isn't a hardware solution like a remote (Lian Li...). I haven't seen many good things in the way of their performance in a radiator (plus the border looks strange to me)
  10. Hey guys, I'm looking for some good RGB fans to throw on an AIO radiator. I'm going with either Kraken x52/62 depending on what size fan is available. I was looking at the LL series but I've seen a mixed bag of reviews with them. I was also looking at the Lian Li Bora fans; however, the fact that they cannot be controlled through software turns me away from them significantly. Are there any that stand out? I would like to OC an 8700k to roughly 4.7-4.9 if possible, but am willing to sacrifice a little bit for quiet operation. Thanks!

  12. The only reason I was considering them is because of Kyle's video, where they outperformed the h110i rad fans. I also can't really find a review on the Lian Li fans and, given their controversial airflow reputation, I don't want the 8700k to overheat
  13. Hey guys, I know this case is pretty new and not really being discussed, but I was curious if anyone knew anything about the included fans? I want to sustain an OC of ~4.7 on an 8700k and wanted to know if I should spring for LL120 fans instead. Thanks!
  14. I would be going with EVGA FTW3 either way. The linked card is the FTW3 'ELITE' card, $120 over the standard 1080ti FTW. Is this specific card worth the $120 over the standard FTW?
  15. Will 650 be sufficient even if OCing? I want to try to hit 4.7+ on CPU if possible. Also, does anyone know anything about this graphics card? I've seen a couple sources saying it has higher mem clock but a) not really sure if that matters and b) haven't found any big techtuber or forum cover it? Is it worth the extra $100?
  16. Mainly went with the kraken to complement the sleek case (I know its probably hard to save in the RGB 'color scheme'). I was considering 16GB RAM but I wasn't sure if that would bottleneck the 8700k, or if it would be sufficient for mild video editing.
  17. Hey guys, Wanted to save a little on the build without sacrificing much performance. Primarily plan to game PUBG, OW, Siege, etc on 1440p144hz, as well as do moderate video editting in Premier. Any help would be greatly appreciated Few things: - I love the case, so I'm not really inclined to cut down on that (unless theres a glass-beast equivalent) - I do plan to overclock (attempting to hit over 4.7 on the cpu) - Not sure if I should downgrade GPU to a FTW3 1080ti (Non Elite) PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BHvLzM Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BHvLzM/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor ($414.89 @ B&H) CPU Cooler: NZXT - Kraken X52 Rev 2 73.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($139.69 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($197.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($399.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Crucial - MX300 1.1TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($284.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.09 @ Newegg Marketplace) Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB FTW3 ELITE GAMING WHITE Video Card ($854.98 @ Newegg) Case: Lian-Li - PC-O8WX ATX Mid Tower Case ($356.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: SeaSonic - Platinum 860W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($131.89 @ OutletPC) Case Fan: Corsair - LL120RGB LED (Three Fans With Lighting Node PRO) 43.2 CFM 120mm Fans ($119.99 @ Amazon) Total: $2970.49 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-11-20 15:45 EST-0500
  18. Hey guys, Looking at 1080ti variants for my next gaming PC. I know that most AIB's perform *relatively* the same. However, I am aware that the FTW3 Elite Gaming is advertised with 12 GHz VRAM. Is it worth the extra ~$50? Thanks for the help
  19. I'm aware that it's a little hard to build I was really just curious what people thought was nicer aesthetically.
  20. Can't decide which one I like more. Specs: 7700k Kraken x52 Rev2 1080ti STRIX OC ASUS STRX Z270-E Trident Z 32GB 3200mhz
  21. If you can, move up to the R5 1600. Should be just as good if not better for games, but definitely a significant step up for content creation. Also, I would go with a Noctua or Cryorig H7 air cooler for a little more power. *optional* i would go with 3000mhz ram Rest looks great though!

I really wanna keep my overall cost below $3000, with an opaque, white coolant. Is it possible at this price point? If so, which parts do you recommend?
