  1. Yes I know, I just noticed your comment about the case not appearing for some reason, so you can ignore what I said about the case, but you don't really need the RAID card and just run it off the motherboard and instead invest some of that in the hot swap bay (which is only $8 more, and again, it's not REALLY needed) and you can easily find a cheap mechanical hard drive on the internet you can use as a boot drive
  2. I think you forgot a case there, I would recommend the Thermaltake Core V1 Extreme mini ITX cube, you can probably drop the Raid Card since you only have 2 drives running in RAID 1 and instead invest in a hot-swap hard drive bay, though it isn't really needed. Finally, you might want to buy a third cheap hard drive to use as a boot drive
  3. Hello all! I'm looking for a wireless gaming mouse for my mid-range gaming laptop. I need it to be wireless as I can't afford any desk space to be taken up by a cord (desks at schools are waaay too small :/) I'm specifically looking for low latency, a price of $25 or less, largish size, and good ergonomics. I was originally going for the EagleTec MG001 that Linus recommended in his cheap gaming mice video, but that's no longer available on Amazon and I'm finding resellers selling it at ridiculous prices. Thank you all in advance
  4. Hello fellow members of the LTT community, I'm trying to find good bang-for-your-buck bluetooth earbuds under $100 to use during the shcool year, any suggestions? I'm looking specifically for good sound quality, comfort, and magnets in the back of the drivers so I can keep them around my neck without worrying that they'll fall on the ground. Thank you all in advance for the suggestions!
  5. One of the cheapest two-in-ones I could find is the HP x2 Detachable Laptop. It has an Intel Atom Z8350 (which is clocked at 1.44 Ghz), with Intel Integrated Graphics 400, it has Windows 10 64-bit, 2 GBs of RAM (though you could double the amount for only $30 more), and a hard drive with 32 GBs of space (that can also be upgraded to 64 GBs for $50). However, it doesn't come with a stylus. The base laptop starts at $249.99 http://store.hp.com/us/en/ConfigureView?langId=-1&storeId=10151&catEntryId=1450660&jumpid=ba_r329_hhocse&aoid=44661&003=6663635&010=W3A06AV_1&CAWELAID=120281700000014774&catargetid=120281700000038889&cadevice=c
  6. Ti versions of GPU's are just upgrades of older models, sometimes their small upgrades such as some more VRAM and CUDA cores and other times they can be HUGE upgrades and the only thing tying the Ti model to it's original counterpart is its microarchitecture
  7. I think the entry level Ryzen CPU will be around $149.99 USD, but the entry level won't be as good as the Ryzen CPU they pitted against an i7-6900k in a performance benchmark at the AMD event before CES 2017 that showed off Ryzen back when it was just called "zen". As for being equivalent to an i5 6400, I think the entry model would under preform it, but by such a small amount it wouldn't even be noteworthy
  8. So, what is your opinion on the Kaby Lake microarchitecture, do you think it's worth and upgrade from last year's Skylake? Personally, I would get a Kaby Lake CPU only if I was building a system entirely from scratch, the performance improvements is simply too little to justify an upgrade from a Skylake CPU in my opinion.
