As a regular viewer of GN, and arguably even a fan (although I try to avoid any type of loyalty as much as possible), it's important to note that the GN fanbase isn't really "wholesome" either. I know that's not what you said, but I felt it was important point to make. I've seen some incredibly sexist and racist comments in the videos. Sadly that's just a massive problem with the tech space anywhere you go, but it's also everyone's responsibility to stand up to.
 
Again, I know you didn't say that the GN fanbase was universally good, but it's important to remember that toxicity exists everywhere in the tech space.

Steve has literally never claimed to be perfect. Nor has he called anyone out for making errors. The criticisms have been for the actions people take after noticing those errors.

I would say this is why you find him smug. GN content is for education, not entertainment. I wouldn't describe Steve as smug at all. Just focused on information.

Having seen some of the video now, I immediately understand why it was taken down. I don't think there's technically anything wrong with it (at least from the half I've seen), but just because everything is so sensitive right now, all their statements feel like jabs. I don't even think they actually are, but this was NOT the right time for it.

It is hard for people with financial security or that haven't been traumatized to make those suggestions though.
 
People with traumatic experiences have trouble approaching the situation - because its a traumatic experience. She has been relatively silent about all of this, since her initial leaving LMG, till recently because she was getting bombarded by people about her issues with her work environment. We all know, even Linus had to make statements about his fans/community needing to leave the kid alone about the play button. If she chooses to not keep going through the massive stress of having to deal with the idiots among the LTT fans, on top of having the stress of trying to take legal action against a company (previously) valued at $100 million - that should be her choice about what is right for her. 
 
Even if she were to win, we all know that it wouldn't stop a significant part of the hate messages she would get. So, from her perspective, why drag this out with a lawsuit that could possible takes years and when each new detail dropped she would get bombarded by hate messages and death threats.

I disagree and quite frankly I don't think your max font size bold comment is going to deter anyone here from discussing this for as long as they want to...

I haven't been on this forum for years as I parted ways due to numerous issues with LTT (all stemming from the focus on growth rather than the consumer) but I was deeply saddened that things have only gotten worse.  I'm not here to throw stones, only beg that LMG please take the criticism constructively, rather than just disregard it as some kind of attack.  LTT was how I first got involved in tech, back when you were a small channel, so even though I don't watch most of your videos anymore, it still holds meaning to me.  I have no desire for you to fail.  Just slow down and focus on ethical practices, rather than capital. Yes, companies that focus on the consumer most usually don't grow as fast or make as much money, but you need to decide what's more important to you.
 
You're being treated like a corporation and not an individual because that's what you are. You can't view everything as a personal attack on your character.
