  1. I already have an RX 480 so adding another would be cheaper for me. And it gives similar to better performance
  2. I have a nice first time build going on with a Phanteks p400s TGE, Asus Prime X370 Pro, and RX 480 (which I plan to crossfire in the next month). I'm planning on buying a 4k display also in the next month. I'm torn between the two bc of the limbo state of my parts. I want to look in an see how I've RGB'd all the things, but I also want to have upgradability. If I don't spend the extra $100 on this I'm almost certain I'll blow it on something stupid bc I'm in college. Will I see a performance difference in 4k that with justify the price difference, and is that RGB stock cooler worth it?
  3. Yeah I ended up buying 3 Thermaltake Riing 12 fans instead.
  4. I was wondering if anyone has tried the insignia 120 mm case fans. I have an extra 60 bucks and they don't offend my eyes
  5. Yeah. But I plan on doing Crossfire, I only really care about the overclocking ability.
  6. B350 or X370? I wanna get the R7 1700, but I don't wanna spend money on a mobo if a cheaper one can do a similar level of OCing. I haven't seen any YouTubers compare them on anything but port differences.
  7. So after scratching it, would you still recommend the 400c? I'm torn btw it and the Phanteks p400s tempered glass. The door just seems so convenient.
  8. Hey guys! I'm a broke af college student building his first PC. I'm pretty out of money on the moment on account of buying components and beer, but I have a $160 Best Buy gift card. I have a good 1080p tv in my room already, but should I buy a cheap 27" 1080 60 hz monitor for like $175? I'm ascending from my PwebStation, so I don't really think I can tell the difference. Also I bought an RX 480, which is probably overkill for 1080p without a high refresh rate monitor. Best Buys not selling AM4 motherboards or quality cases any time soon, so should I use the money to buy a fancy ass keyboard and mouse instead? The only components I'm missing for the PC are the case, mobo, and cpu bc I'm waiting on Ryzen 5 (again bc I spent all my money on booze). Monitor that will be outdated in 2 years or just the tv I got? Do you recommend getting anything from Best Buy that isn't a Nintendo Switch???
  9. I just bought an EVGA 600 BQ on Amazon. There's only one vga spot on the PSU to power a graphics card. I'm planning on a building an upgradable system, so I want to be able to install a second RX 480 in crossfire. The box says that I can support sli and crossfire, but how? Would I be able to run both GPUs through the same line or a splitter of some sort? Would I be able to plug one of the GPUs in as a peripheral? Should I have actually done more research other than the wattage and whether the cables were black or ketchup and mustard??? Heeellllppp!!!!!
  10. Yeah, I'm not buying a whole system with $400. I'm buying parts overtime. I plan on spending about $1,500 overall. The EVGA 1070 is $407 on Amazon and BestBuy price matches it. I have actual money, I just got a $400 gift card that can't be exchanged for cash. IDK if the Vega is gonna be good or not, but you're right. I should really wait.
  11. So I got a $400 gift card to Best Buy on Christmas, but I'm conflicted with what I should get. I don't have a PC yet and am looking to buy parts. I plan on buying a Ryzen in Spring or Summer. I've been looking at a ton of stuff on their website and I really want to get either an EVGA GTX 1070 or parts like the power supply, case, and memory. I don't plan on buying a mobo or ram yet as I don't know whether to get DDR3 or 4 and I don't know what will be best compatible for Ryzen. I plan to overclock and I really want to run 4K while having still having upgradability. Should I get the 1070, the other parts, or do any of you have any better ideas that can help me make a decision. Thanks for the help!
