  1. Thanks. I'll make sure to pick them up tomorrow.
  2. Hello everybody. Getting a really good deal on 3x Noctua NF-S12A (where basically i'm getting 3 for the price of one) . I want to use them as intake fans in my InWin 101 case. The only issue i am having is that where i'm placing all 3 there is a filter, and was wondering if getting static pressure fans instead is essential or are these airflow fans good enough to pull air through the filter. Thanks. Posted pic for reference.
  3. Thanks, and not to get too off topic. What psu do you recommend I mix it with? I got a semi module but it didn't really work out that well. Something I can use for a long time that is fully module and cable mod compatible.
  4. Currently have a NZXT S340 and as much as I love the case I find it really small/cramed inside and hard to work on when I have to move stuff around. What case under $100 do you recommend that had a good mixture between inside space while not looking way to empty inside or flashy from the outside. tempered glass/dust screens would be nice. i7-4790 Corsair H100i v2 MSI Z97-GD65 EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 SSC EVGA 500 BQ NZXT S340 Thanks
  5. Ended up buying a brand new MSI Z97-GD65 for $150, thanks for the replies.
  6. I didn't clean the cmos right after the update. I did it after it wouldn't post and kept getting the debug code 00. I've had issues with my ram sticks before with this board, but it would always give me the code appropriated to the ram issue and would eventually work without issues for months till I would remove them again then it would start giving issues again. Which is why I updated, thinking it was a memory issue fixed in the later revisions.
  7. I've had my Z97-Gaming 5 for a couple months now that i bought off a good friend of mine. It worked great till last night when i decided to update my BIOS to 1.D. Everything that happened before I updated: After a session of gaming with friends, i decided to enable Wake On LAN to access my files on my phone when my PC goes to sleep. After setting everything up, i downloaded the 1.D files, formatted my flash drive to fat32, popped it into the front ports, booted into bios, selected update bios and everything went smoothly. It said restarting in 10 seconds after the updating bar finished. Then i started getting error code 00 on the digital display. It is not error code D0. Nothing is displayed, and it doesn't shut off. Just the digital error code 00 on the motherboard is shown. What i have tried 1 stick of ram, no ram, no gpu, clear cmos jumper, remove cmos battery. Not sure if taking the pc apart could be a solution since like i said, everything was working fine for hours before this happened. Specs: Z97 Gaming 5 i7 4790 non K Corsair H100i v2 (i installed it earlier that day) Hyper X Fury 1866 4GB and a 8GB stick (was wondering if this could be the reason but it gives error code 00) EVGA 500w BQ GTX 970 ACS+ SSC 2.0 NZXT S340 Finding a new LGA 1150 motherboard is not easy or cheap, so if there is a solution other than that i would be grateful.
  8. Do you think going from my 970 to a 1070 would be worth the money? Or should i wait for the new cards to be released? Thank you.
  9. I got it from a friend's brother that got a Ryzen and he gave me a great price since he didn't have interest in selling it else where. The question below is also for you. If I wanted to get a GPU in the next couple months what do you think would be best for this i7? Just so I am able to play the newer titles coming out later on. Thanks everyone.
  10. Recently acquired a i7-4790 and a MSI Z97 Gaming 5 together for $170. I know the cpu is locked from intel unless i get the K series which i do not want to shed more money getting one. Reason i got this was because it was the cheapest way to upgrade my FX-8350. Currently i am running; i7-4790 MSI Z97 Gaming 5 12GB Hyper X 1866 (one is 8 the other is 4) EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0+ 4GB Hyper 212 EVO with 2x Enermax 2k RPM 120mm fans and a EVGA 500BQ i recently got since it was Semi Modular. I looked online and people said getting DDR3 2400mhz ram will improve my performance on the i7 is this true? Also what gpu could i get that would be able to max games on 1080p without bottle necking the 4790? Also is there anything bios wise or software to get the i7 to improve performance? Thanks.
  11. Hey, I have a Enermax Liqmax II 240 for my FX-6300. After cleaning the radiator fans since they were really dusty i turned on my pc and booted into bios to check if my temps were better and notice it spiked 82c. i reset my bios to default, shut it down and messed around with the fans and moved the tubes around and notice only one felt cool and the other just felt warm, is this normal because one pipe carries the cooled liquid and the other returns in to the radiator? i was thinking this happens but im not sure if this is how they function. My temps were idling 35c and using prime95 it hit 73c after just a couple minutes. thanks
  12. Correct, that's why I thought the 7990 also had a blower style option. But I'm guessing not, only the 3 fan model. I wonder why they didn't go with a blower.
  13. Thanks, I must've gotten confused with the 6990.
  14. Does any one remember if the 7990 was better with the blower or the open air? Want to get myself one of these out of the curiosity of owning one since they're rare and don't see them often anymore.
