    Lga 1151 i5

If it's out there for that cheap I'll absolutely get one, but I haven't seen anything for less than 300+ unfortunately

    Lga 1151 i5

Relatively speaking I want the most bang for my buck which I totally get is probably a 3-400 buck CPU. But realistically I'd need to keep it under 200 if possible

    Lga 1151 i5

Currently have a lan box with these specs i3 6100 Itx z270 gigabyte mobo 8gb ram (soon to be 16) Gtx 1070 SC 120gb SSD + 1tb HDD 450 watt sfx PSU I'm looking for a cheap i5 (or even a super cheap i7 if that's possible) that would be worth upgrading to, primarily because the i3 struggles with playing most games, having 5 way video chats on discord, and YouTube playing in the background. So are there any CPU's worth upgrading to that can handle all that??

    Shotgun Mics

Have any good suggestions for that style of mic??
  5. bdphxdude

    Shotgun Mics

Looking for mics that i can use to pickup everyone's voice in a D&D session. About once every week my friends and i get together in person to have your typical session, but inevitably there's always at least a few people that cant make it in person. Usually I'll bring my LAN box with me and ill plug in your basic 1080p web cam and a Mod Mic 5. The problem I've been having with the current mic is that its too quiet My preference for the mic is that it would be a USB mic and on the cheaper side (i don't have a huge budget for it) and that it can sit on the table on its own

    ITX case suggestions

All the components for it are spare parts I've been gathering, it's not exactly meant to be great. i3-6100 Gtx 1050 8gb ram 120gb SSD + 500gb 5400rpm 2.5in drive Itx board(I think it's an h110) And a 450 watt sfx psu I got for 4 bucks at Goodwill that works perfectly fine I'm looking for a cube style itx case not a super thin one, it's just a weird preference I have. This is intended to be a lower end PC that I can take to lan parties or D&D sessions. That way I don't have to lug around my expensive main rig. Something small and relatively cheap but capable of getting the job done Hopefully that's a better description for you

    ITX case suggestions

Long story short I have a LAN PC I'm building, I have the right mobo and GPU taken care of, I even picked up an sfx PSU. Which is the problem, I want to find a nice portable itx case that will be able to mount that sfx power supply. The only thing I don't want the case to be is a console shaped one, I'm weird and prefer the cube style ones. TLDR: Please help me find an ITX case that uses sfx PSU's

    100-150 headphones

Fair point, so between the two you'd suggest the M40's over the M50's for me then??

    100-150 headphones

Those are also open backs which I'd rather avoid only because I don't want to constantly annoy my wife

    100-150 headphones

That's the only hang up I have about them, I know they're renowned for having a balanced sound but could they handle it if I tried to push them to a lower sound??

    100-150 headphones

My only concern with them is how well can they handle extremely deep or powerful bass like this ie: https://youtu.be/EF0lVn3n12I

    100-150 headphones

Getting straight into it I'm trying to find the best headphones I can use with my surround sound receiver for about 100-150 USD. I'm lean more towards bass heavier headphones such as the Sony XB line. They would be used for everything from high volume music listening (heavy metal, classic rock, EDM, and movie sound tracks) to simple voice chat, gaming, and YouTube videos. They're never going to leave my computer station so no need to worry about having lower ohms to work with phones. The three I'm most interested in so far have been these Sennheiser HD449 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005N8W214?psc=1 Audiotechnica ATH-M40X https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00HVLUR54/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1511755208&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=ath+m40&dpPl=1&dpID=41gFqXe5oBL&ref=plSrch Sony XB950B1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N5UVZBP/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1511755360&sr=8-15&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=sony+xb Looking for any suggestions for ones I might not have heard of or personal recommendations from you guys. Any help would be appreciated

    1000 USD laptop suggestions please

They specifically dont let you use HDD's other than ones they provide making swapping or tampering with drives a nightmare
  15. Helping a friend get her first real laptop and we want to get it right. The price point is obviously 1000 USD, the primary use for the laptop is productivity and portability with gaming being a secondary focus (ie: gtx 1050 level of performance). Personally i'm trying to stick with Acer laptops because I've always had fantastic luck with them and they lend themselves to being very easy and friendly to tamper with (also a major focus). Regarding the productivity its mostly going to be working online for a company so connectivity is crucial and it should have a fairly decent battery to accompany long working sessions if possible. I'm open to any suggestions outside of HP and Mac, love to see what you guys can help find for this. Edit: this is my current suggestion https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-7700HQ-1060-6GB-G3-571-77QK/dp/B06Y4GZS9C/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1509743213&sr=8-4&keywords=Acer+Predator+15&dpID=41v2oytxs9L&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
