  1. hello thank you for your post, I have all the programs installed from the asus page, aura detects everything and controls tmy trident z rgb and my 1080 strix lights. I have been going through the veent logs and have noticed that winodws 10 updates where installing around the time that the power cut so I have tried a system restore to a previous point in time. I will uninstall and reinstall the utilitys and see what happens. thanks again my main worry was that the motherboard had died or sumin
  2. hello all, I hope that you can help I have finished building my new computer ive had it for about a week now. its a ryzen 1700x with a asus hero 6 ac wifi. the problem that I face is that last night the rgb worked amazing but last night when I went to bed I shut the pc down which everything was normal the rgb on the motherboard the aio cover and the other little but down the bottom still lit up then the power went out and the lights went out I thought that it was fine so just went to bed as it was getting late anyways today when I have turnnt it on the trident z rgb lights come on fight same with the gtx 1080 strix both rgb works great. however the rgb strips that I fitted two days ago and the rgb on the motherboard don't work. the motherboard doesn't light up at all however the rgb strip lights up as I turn my pc on but it slowly dies like someone is turning down a dimmer switch. a fue days ago I updated the bios from the base one up to 3008 (latest) I wondered if I had changed one of the settings in the bios so I loaded default settings and check the rgb again it still failed to load also at this point I was unable to change my boot device and for it to save so I had just loaded on the bios version previous to that the 1701 version and I can choose my boot order ect fine now but the rgb still fails to work. I check the rgb settings located in the on board devices to check make sure that it was still enabled and it was but no luck. I hope that you can help Kind Regards Liam Bond
  3. Computer science/ ccna but I wont be using this laptop for the ccna
  4. I have narrowed my selection of laptops down to 3 for different reasons but I'm stuck as to which to choose. I have selected this http://www.ebuyer.com/754038-lenovo-v110-laptop-80tl0010uk as the fastest option with the ssd but low storage space of 128 gb; option 2 is http://www.ebuyer.com/780540-hp-255-g5-laptop-1lu03es-1lu03es-abu large hdd 4gb ram seems pretty good and option 3 a middle of the two http://www.ebuyer.com/757280-asus-x555qg-laptop-silver-black-x555qg-xx007t . if you have any advice or suggestions on which of these three would be best I would really appreciate it. kind regards Liam Bond
  5. hi all I am looking for a laptop that can be used for studying/ steaming while I'm at uni. I'm looking for around 300 pounds costing and to be long lasting and reliable. any suggestions are more then welcome kind regards liam bond
  6. just looking at it now these are the results from it being idle/ running that program the results don't differ really from the other software that's monitoring the temps
  7. Hello all, on my computer ive got some pretty high temps coming off the cpu ( amd fx 9590) and (temp 1) on the motherboard which is the heat sink to the left of the cpu. I have 3 120mm intake fans in the front of my nzxt h440 case and one rear exhaust fan on the back of the case and the h100i is connected onto the cpu which has the 240mm radiator on the top with two 120 mm fans that pull air from the case through the rad into the top cover/ exhaust area of the case. when it cases everything just stops I'm guessing when the temps on the motherboard (temp 1) exceeds an amount it just stops everything. I have found that when I run the fans that are connected to the radiator at 100% while gaming then the chance of it crashing is reduced however the fans are reducusly loud when ran like that and its just not natural to me anyways that it would have to run like that. even while idling the fans can kick up currently just writing this and my cpu is at 29 degrees c which is great but the temp1 is at 50 and the fans are having to do quite abit of work to keep it like that. hope you can help Kind regards Liam Bond
  8. also it just freezes no error message or black screen
  9. yeah that's what I'm finding weird, just seen this which happened 4 mins before the crash in the event viewer. A corrected hardware error has occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Corrected Machine Check Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error Processor APIC ID: 1 that happened twice only things that's different on the other one is Processor APIC id:0
  10. after running it for an hour here are the results. it didn't crash while running the tests however about 2 mins after closing it as I was taking pictures of the monitoring software that I had open it crashed/ stopped and I had to power off and on again. the photos below are as it was when it all froze.
  11. it has o mv due to the option in afterburner to manage the voltage is turnt off
  12. no idea why is shows as -128 its always done that with speed fan just for that one temp, on my second monitor I have corsair link, speedfan, msi afterburner and even the task manager showing and monitoring everything while gaming to hopefully catch any error messages or voltage spikes or anything while gaming as a crash happened however nothing is abnormal to me. I just found a photo that I took of it when it happened
