  1. While I agree with the point that leaving monetization on the apology video was bad, look at whats going on. (HOPEFULLY) They are working internally to make their processes better. They are not looking at specifically youtube optics right now. This could be just them not thinking about demonetizing the video when uploading it, and we know they have issues with quality checking videos, much less optics of youtube ads. I dont however agree with the fact that GN left all their merch on the table during their LMG Has Issues video. That video should have been shot with a clear table and blank background. If they wanted something on table or background to decorate the set, then it should have been products (if they had any) that LTT messed up on. Otherwise the merch just sends the same message you are saying that LTT is sending. In short, these are human beings. Stop attributing malice to these mistakes. And LTT at its core has always been a self depreciating joke company. I found it a light hearted attempt to make what they were saying on camera easier to deal with. Yes it sounds bad to you, but thats just you. Others here are looking at the overall message and taking note to check if they actually do the right thing later.
  2. The problem with waterblocks is most are designed for a specific card. Very rarely, if at all, span multiple cards of the same generation, much less different generations. So if it was designed for a 3090ti, they shouldnt have used a 4090 in its place. I agree people spending $800 on a waterblock would most likely buy the best currently available, but they also would be buying the waterblock for the gpu they are buying. Which at the time for development of this block, was the 3090ti. The sad part is that Linus is experienced with watercooling. He should know that waterblocks, especially custom waterblocks, do not just support any gpu you can mount it to. Z height is very important, and he forgot it.
  3. Soooo Ima gonna need some links to those scripts you guys ran...
  4. Jet packs and unforced errors by EA management. Fixed that for you.
  5. Did you empty the recycle bin? The only other thing I would think is happening is that there is a file or files that are different versions that have different file sizes. Like say a database data file that grew some after a copy was made to the other disk. What kind of content is being kept on these disks? Would it be anything that could grow in size during usage?
  6. What is the software they are using to sync files and keep deletions?
  7. Do you own a business? Because if you did you would understand the implications of being slandered in such a way, even if it was "silly".
  8. I would say the combination of old hardware and hardware failing, plus people being unable to replace the hardware is one of the reasons that people are not folding anymore. Also, not sure why you think people arent folding when you can clearly see the numbers go back up from the lows of 7-17 to the high of 12-17. That is during the height of the speculative bitcoin market.
  9. Due to the cryptocurrency mining craze currently happening, GPUs are marked up everywhere because demand is far out running supply. You will not find a decently priced card currently unless you happen to be in a store looking at the product on the shelf. I managed to find a RX 560 for $150 at a local Best Buy, but only because it was there and they didnt mark up the price.
  10. I have a GTX 1080 TI being powered by a EVGA 650w G2. I think that psu will be fine.
  11. I had about $70 in NiceHash because it has about a $100 minimal withdrawal limit. Had the GTX 1080 ti about half paid off.
  12. I get ya, I basically set one up and it slowly turned into my media server / NAS / backup server monster I have now. Im actually in the process of moving urbackup off of it to another server for pure backups and archiving. It works fairly well when you want to do a system image restore from the boot image as well. I thought it would be slow restoring an image over the network, but a 1TB image took barely 40 minutes to restore. Been very happy with it, even with the bugs. Other than that, The only other tool I use is called Redo Backup. It is a linux (unix maybe? dont remember) boot disc/usb image that you can boot off of and do a system image backup or restore. It can also do it over the network if the network device is supported.
  13. If you want, you can setup another computer that has some storage to burn. Use that computer with some software called Urbackup. That way, if you have more than one computer you need to backup, they all can point to that server. https://www.urbackup.org/ I use it for my computers at home. It takes file backups as well as a system image of the disks you choose. However, I will not sugar coat it, it can be slow as balls. It is an open sourced project, so some bugs are bound to happen.
  14. Interestingly enough, 604 released yesterday has stopped the crashing. This will let me save up and get 4x16gb like I want. Thanks again!
  15. Interesting. Will have to continue looking into it.
  16. Hmm, I thought that was the case. I read that Ryzen really likes to have low timings / fast memory, so I think I will get the 3200 mhz. Thanks a lot for the help!
  17. First thing I tried :(. Unless there was a new one released, I am currently on 515.
  18. I was just looking at the LPX myself. Debating on what speed I should currently get.
  19. Im currently looking for a 2x16gb DDR4 kit to get for my R7 1700 and ASUS x370-Pro motherboard. I do have the CPU and MB here, but when I tried out an older 2x8gb kit it had instability issues like crazy. Editing in Photoshop/Lightroom works great until they get a crazy number of edits/photos. And the crazy thing is it can survive a Metro Last Light Benchmark all the way through, but then right after it finishes it crashes with Memory_Management. And playing any kind of game for more than a few minutes will cause the same issue. No amount of changing the timings help either. The only thing that has helped is turning off SMT. I noticed if I do that, I can play a game like Overwatch just fine, but right after I close the game it will BSOD. And anything more intensive will still BSOD, but will last longer. Weird. However, I fully know that I shouldnt really be running Ryzen with this memory as this DDR4 kit was one of the first to come out when Intel released their first CPU support for it. And I really want to get to the max that this board supports, 64gb. With RAM prices orbiting the moon though, I just want to get a 2x16gb kit for now. Does anyone know of a kit that for sure works on this hardware?
  20. The 10gb nic is an add-in card... Intel x520-da1.
  21. Oh! Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
  22. Would you happen to know a mb that has 3 pcie slots? x16, x16, x8? Got two 980 ti's and a 10gb nic that will be moving to new hardware.
  23. Well its certainly better than what I have now, and Id rather not pay Intel prices for a 8c 16t cpu. Thanks!
  24. Im looking to upgrade my old i7 3820 to the new Ryzen 1800x that just came out. However, I hear that it has issues with gaming and video production performance. Is this true, or just hog wash from people who dont know what they are talking about?
  25. @LinusSebastian How about picking up one of these and reviewing them? Id like to see how the Unifi system stacks up against the ones Luke has been reviewing, especially these in wall units. https://store.ubnt.com/beta/unifi-ap-ac-iw.html
