  1. I've narrowed the issue down and it's not the motherboard. When the case front I/O is plugged into the motherboard it doesn't work but when it's unplugged the rear audio I/O works. I'm guessing it's a case issue at this point.
  2. Okay so this is going to sound weird but after plugging and unplugging headphones in the front jack of my computer the rear 3.5 jack isn't working at all. I've tried reinstalling the driver, checking updates, updating the bios, etc. Nothing is working. Here is the system we're looking at Ryzen 9 3900x Asus Crosshair VIII Hero WIFI Asus RTX 2080 Strix DDR4 2x16gb @ 3200 Thanks everyone!
  3. so this motherboard lacks wifi and that is a deal breaker. I already have that mouse for my laptop lol.
  4. So as far as programs go. Photoshop Krita Illustrator InDesign Inventor Maya 3ds Max Mudbox Premiere OBS I still need to figure out what monitor configuration to go for. ~$2000 for the pc ~$1000 for a keyboard (with macros), monitor, and new graphics tablet The ssd was a Kingston and the HDD was a Toshiba.
  5. This pc will be for heavy graphic design, gaming, 3d animation, video editing and so on. I'm shooting for the following build (and yes it is my first) CPU - Ryzen 1800x - $430 GPU - EVGA gtx 1080 - $604 RAM - DDR4 3000 16gb - $150 Motherboard - Asus Crosshair VI Hero - $270 Cooler - Hyper Evo 212 - $27 SSD - 240gb - $87 HDD - 3tb 7200rpm - $77 Case - corsair 570x - $170 PSU - evga 650w - $74 OS - Windows 10 - $90 Any possible issues?
  6. Alright. So. I'm looking to build a medium high to high end workstation/gaming computer. I do 3d printing and animation, heavy graphic design and other computer art, photo editing, video editing and I also game. My budget is right around $2000 for the PC, monitor(s), and keyboard (I already have speakers, headphones, and a mouse). So far I was thinking... CPU: I7 7700k, i7 6800k, or i7 7800x GPU: GTX 1080 or GTX 1080ti Motherboard: one works with lga 1151, 2011, or 2066 and has RGB and the goods. RAM: 16gb DDR4 4tb hdd 128gb ssd CPU Cooler: Hyper Evo 212 Case: Corsair 570x So... Which i7? Which i7 motherboard? Which GTX 1080? And should I do 3 1080p 144hz monitors or some other configuration? Note: budget isn't important to stick to. Just nothing stupid like a 28 core Xeon.
  7. I'm thinking of something I can mount over my desk and use as a boom.
  8. I'm going to be starting my own youtube channel soon for gaming, unboxings, how to videos, vlogs and so on. I'm looking to get 2 mics. One that is portable so that can plug it into my dslr and do vlogs with it. The other is something that can be used as a boom Mic when recording something over a table or work bench or by my desk for gaming. I was thinking about getting a Razer siren. Any suggestions?
  9. From what ive seen FRAPS has a massive fps impact whereas Bandicam has almost no impact. Also Bandicam's files are smaller than FRAPS'.
  10. I can definitely say that illustrator files are quite huge and a laptop with a hard drive might be better if you can deal with the speed.
  11. One of my friends asked me to look for stylish yet powerful laptop for her. Her budget is around $750. Preferred specs Dual core i5 or i7 Ssd (she needs speed over space) Portable but easy to type on (college use) Something relatively fancy looking
