  1. I think its fair to say that the gigabyte auros is now almost certain to be the 1080 Ti pending an announcement sometime later this year via what looks like to be a confirmation from an ekwb representative http://www.overclock.net/t/1620755/1080-ti-water-block-question Of course, he doesn't say if he has the 1080 Ti, but he most certainly gives us a big hint that they do in fact have a 1080 Ti sample, and like hardware canucks, i'm sure if both of them were to outright say, "Yes we can tell you that we have the 1080 Ti" they would both get calls from NVIDIA, though that may not matter now at this point now that the word is out.
  2. now that i think about it some more, the techbuyersguru rumor has some support to it - since they heard that the 1080 ti might launch at PAX East 2017, and in this video, the sentence "It will certainly be interesting springtime at HardwareCanucks offices." would most certainly have one believe that PAX East 2017 could be the announcement/launch/both date of the 1080 Ti as March 10th is right near springtime.
  3. its where it would sit, the only possible way this is the 1060 Ti, is if its using the long rumored GP104-150 graphics core, and that's very unlikely considering GP104-140 is being used in the GTX 1060 3 GB card this is definitely not volta either but in the case it were, its been long overdue, since it was supposed to be released after maxwell and like i said in the other thread if this was a 1080, hardwarecannucks would have said something to the effect of take a look at gigabyte's aorus using the gtx 1080 graphics core, and like a poster in this thread there's only several options 1. This is the 1080 Ti, he's just not allowed to say that it is for nda reasons 2. Somehow, someway this is actually the GTX 1090 3. Titan X Pascal Aib Card (very unlikely but maybe it is) 4. It turns out that it is a 1080 and all the hype was for nothing 5. None of the Above and its something else
  4. well, i'm pretty sure that if it was a 1080 that the person in the video would have said, take a look at this brand new card using the GTX 1080 graphics core, but since he didn't, that probably is the 1080 ti. as for why others say its a 1080, well if some of them know its the 1080 ti, but can't say that it is, what do they do? just post the article as usual saying its a 1080 for now knowing that some of them are under nda.
  5. here is a new rumor. looks like the nvidia CEO wasn't ready to show it at CES, can't really blame him, maybe he wanted to see if AMD would show anything noteworthy with Vega http://techbuyersguru.com/ces-2017-amds-ryzen-and-vega-revealed
  6. looks like it'll be announced today http://videocardz.com/65353/watch-nvidia-ceo-keynote-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-announcement-here#disqus_thread
  7. Source is above There's really not much to say here, but i guess now would be a pretty good time for a 1080 Ti to appear, I don't plan on upgrading from the FE 1070 so i'm happy where i am in gaming. I guess if you need to make it different from the titan x somehow, just use good old regular GDDR5 instead. updated post for latest rumor http://techbuyersguru.com/ces-2017-amds-ryzen-and-vega-revealed
