Enermax Revolution D.F. would be my choice from that list.

unfortunately it is out of stock, how is the Seasonic GM, Fractal ION, or MSI MPG? how would you rank these ?

PSUs highlighted in yellow label are out of stock

    How new 60/70 series? 4060/4070?

I doubt 650w would be enough for 4070, the 3070 now needs at least 650w, new gen will definitely need more.

Also, why no AMD RX GPUs?

I will probably pick either amd or nvidia, depending on which one offers more performance per dollar.

  3. Need some help picking a PSU, currently using a Cooler Master G550M, planning to pick up a 650W Gold any recommendations ? System specs 5600X + 2060 Super, planning to upgrade to new 60/70 series card down the line.

Attached are the prices locally (Hong Kong ) For 650 W Gold PSUs

Reasons for upgrading: was cleaning the case and saw there was some rust on the PSU exterior and I have been using it for almost 7 years.

3 options above don't have good battery life

Any other laptops with MX150? FYI, 8250U and 8550U don't have much performance difference. Also, MX150 has 2 variants - 10W and 25W

    Is the ASUS ZenBook 13 UX331UN good, has an i5-8250U and 8GB RAM and 256GB SATA3 M.2 SSD and MX150 for 8500HKD (1080USD)

I would also like to ask is there much difference in 13.3" and 14"

  5. I will be starting uni soon and need some recommendations of notebooks, my priorities are keyboard tying feel and battery life. Would like the price to be below 9000HKD (1100USD). Would like to have a discrete GPU for acceleration in certain apps and very light gaming like CS GO.

There are a few uni laptop offers which one is good or should i just consider something else.

    HP Pavilion 14  14"display

    -i7-8550U

    -MX150

    -8GB RAM

    -1TB HDD + 128GB SSD

    -41Wh battery

    -6990HKD (890USD)

    Dell Inspiron 14 7472 14"display

    -i7-8550U

    -MX150

    -8GB RAM

    -1TB HDD + 128GB SSD

    -42Wh battery

    -6699HKD (850USD)

    Lenovo IdeaPad 320s 13.3"display

    -MX150

    -8GB RAM

    -256GB SSD

    -36Wh battery

    -6999HKD (890USD

  6. Budget: about 50USD or less

Can someone recommend me a good all-rounded earbuds for music listening and other general use

Here are some that i found (could use some feedback on which one is better)

    Sennheiser CX 300 II

    Sennheiser CX 3.00

    Shure SE112

    Shure SE115

    RHA MA350

    RHA S500i

  7. If the application supports OpenCL you will be just fine.  You are probably better off with the 380 4GB... and it is cheaper.  Check GTAV benches for the 380 performance against the 960.  That might sway you towards the 960.

When i started finding parts for my rig the R9 380 was my initial choice cuz of extra FPS on games but after searching i found that CUDA had better support on adobe products. What would you recommend for a good PSU for my rig

  8. 1. Budget & Location
    Location: Hong Kong
Budget: 5000 HKD -about 650 USD (willing to spend more if it boosts performance by a lot)

    2. Aim
    Image editing (lightroom and photoshop)
Planing to do some 3D work in the future (planing to study Multimedia Production elective in school)
    Some gaming EG GTA5

    3. Monitors
1080P monitor currently using, wont be upgrading anytime soon

    4. Peripherals
I have keyboard and mouse already, I don't need OS

    5. Why are you upgrading?
My current system was pre-built and is sh*t. Currently have a Pentium E6600 and 3gb ram.Lags on browsing chrome and editing photos in light room. (Upgraded internet to 500MB and current computer only accepts 100MB)

    6.Hardware i have picked
    Case:Spec-01

MB: ASRock B85M Pro4 (i chose this because it has Intel LAN)(Are asrock MB good?)

    CPU :i5-4460

    RAM:ADATA Premier DDR3 1600MHz 8GB (8GB enough or 16gb)

    GPU: 750ti or 960

SSD:Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (for OS and programs) (already have 7200rpm 1tb hard drive)

PSU: I have no idea for this is a HCG520M good (i would prefer it to be modular)

    Fan: DeepCool XFan120 x2

Help would be much appreciated in perfecting my new rig. Thanks !

  9. It uses a pretty decent Atheros chipset and range is likely decent if your not looking to upgrade your internet to something faster it's probably fine.

Thanks for your help, i will be buying the router maybe today / tomorrow

  10. 5GHz, goes much shorter distances than 2.4GHz do to 5GHz wavelength being about half of 2.4GHz . That being said your still likely to get better rates because there's almost no noise, you might not be able to get the best rate through 3 walls on 5GHz though but you should get at least 10 Mbps throughput worst case. Most online streaming services don't use more than 10-12 Mbps for their best quality 1080p video so you should be fine.

The biggest difference you'll see is the lack of interference of packets on 5GHz so you wont get annoying buffering/potato quality on Wi-Fi.

Is interference of packets that useful

  11. im gonna say yea..but I really can't be sure how strong the signal will be at the far end

if it is weak..you can always use a powerline adapter with wireless ..like I mentioned

far end doesn't matter i can use a secondary router in my parents room, but if i do chose to go with AC55UHP will i be losing a lot of performance

  12. You'll want a higher end router because they have better SoCs meaning you can route more. So if your downloading a file and/or steaming HD video your routing 300Mbps of traffic + other local traffic you can handle it better. Also you get faster packet processing so your less likely to drop packets under heavy load, something very important if you game.

As for the range most consumer routers 5GHz antennas are internal and the EIRP is low meaning the 5GHz is likely to be crappy after 1 concrete wall.

    there are

I wouldn't get a router tho that wasn't compatible with 3rd party firmware

since retail firmware is usually crap

So would the AC66U form Asus be enough to penetrate through 2-3 walls and still be able to stream HD video , no gaming just streaming

I would be able to sue the router for a long time right 4 years maybe?
