  1. Solved. For anyone wanting to do the same thing: The reason why MSM Tool didn't work was because I was using adb reboot edl to get into EDL mode. This doesn't work it shows as 900E in device manager! You have to press both volume buttons for 5s and then connect it to PC. It will then show up as 9008 in device manager and MSM Tool will see the device.
  2. I'm currently on LOS20 + LOS recovery, how do I go back to complete stock? Are these the correct steps to take? copy ROM (from https://service.oneplus.com/in/search/search-detail?id=2097031&articleIndex=1) to root folder. flash recovery (from https://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amazonaws.com/recovery.img) with fastboot. boot into recovery and flash the ROM from root. lock bootloader. is this a correct order, is something missing like wipe data/cache? (between 2 and 3?) Thanks Edit: Tried the MSM Tool and I can't get my phone to show up there even after hours of trying different qualcomm drivers
  3. To anyone reading this with similar questions: I successfully installed LOS and Magisk by simply flashing magisk.zip (renamed from .apk) right after LOS and GApps. I also am able to pass safety net by installing the Magisk module. Problem is with banking apps. They see root no matter what I tried. My main bank allows me to acknowledge the risks with root and still lets me use it. The second one refuses to activate. Other than that LOS is amazing!
  4. Lately my OP5 started acting super weirdly - off screen gestures not working (need to power the screen on and off), 1-2s lags when navigating the apps and system, saving video takes sometimes like minutes... I wanted to do a factory reset but I also like the idea of upgrading to A13 with LineageOS with newer security updates and better customization. (OP5 is officialy on September 2020 security update) One big problem with my plan: banking apps and other apps relying on device integrity. It seems it can be fixed with Magisk, right? From my research I have to do: 1) Follow this guide to install LineageOS 20 - seems easy sideload lineage recovery, LineageOS and then MindTheGApps 2) Follow this guide to install Magisk - seems not so easy There is a lot of stuff I have to take into account like: Install Magisk app? "If you plan to also install custom kernels, install it after Magisk" Does that affect me? " If your device has boot ramdisk" I don't know? + there is a warning " Unfortunately, there are exceptions as some devices’ bootloader accepts ramdisk even if it shouldn’t " Now I have to patch images? OR I found someone just renames the Magisk.apk to Magisk.zip and sideload it in recovery? Okay, now I have magisk, what now? install some safety net modules? Is it even possible to achieve this with OP5? Any soul that could guide me? Thanks!!!
  5. Right now it has 2x 16GB 2RX4 PC4-2133P-RBB-11 in slots A1 and A2 (one for each CPU) I want to upgrade to at least 64GB so can I just buy another two identical sticks? or is 6 sticks more optimal (96GB)? Not in terms of size but in terms of channels and speed. Do they have to be exactly the same or if any HP 2133 16 GB kit with part number 726719-B21 compatible? I saw many very simillar sticks with a few different letters on ebay. Mine are MTA36ASF2G72PZ-2G1B1IK. The ones I found only differ in the last part (2G1B1IK). Does that matter? If 4x 16: in would be in slots A1B1 and A2B2 right? Or if 6x 16GB: slots A1B1C1 and A2B2C2?
  6. Not sure about a battery but it has 2GB cache. I wanted to go raid 5 but everywhere I look people are scaring me with the chance of loosing everything while rebuilding. The discs are already used Seagate exos. If I switch to HBA I will then setup the zfs raidz in proxmox control panel?
  7. I have 4x4TB drives I plan to use in Raid 1+0 and one SSD as a boot drive for Proxmox. What strip size (default = 256/512 KiB) and Sectors/Track (default = 32) to use for the HDD array? Should I create a one disc raid 0 array with the SSD + what Strip size and Sectors? Or should I plug it directly to motherboard bypassing the raid card? Server is the HPE Proliant DL360 G9 4xLFF + 2xSFF Thank you
  8. I've tried reseating many times. Trying both the i7 and i5. I'm not sure I understand the "dunk in water" part. I can't see how waterboarding my motherboard would be helpful.
  9. Hey my PC originaly build in 2014 (upgraded gpu 2 years back) started suddenly power cycling this week after I tried to wake in over Lan (which I have been doing at least once a week for the past months) Components: MB: Asus maximus VII hero CPU: I7 4790k and spare i5 4690k GPU: RTX 2060 RAM: Hyperx fury 2x8GB PSU: Seasonic 650W 1 M.2 ssd and 1 HDD So when it happened I send a wake on Lan packet and it didn't turn on so when I got home maybe an hour later it was already power cycling. Turning on every 2 seconds and immediately off. Q code just blinks 00 and turns off. Fans start to spin for a sec. Here's what I tried: Unplugging non essential HW (peripherals, drives) Reseating all cables. Changing RAM slots, trying only one. Unplugging GPU Switching CPU, I have s spare i5 Bridging PSU to turn it on and checking voltage with multimeter (everything within margin) Trying to boot with and without cpu or RAM Disconnecting CMOS battery At this point all I have is motherboard outside of the case only with CPU, keyboard, 24pin and cpu cable. It still does the same. It looks like the MB is broken or fried but no visible signs. Looks like I'm out of luck right?
  10. Well, what about the systems I mentioned in my original post?
  11. What else is there to configure than the pppoe connection I shown in the picture? Yes, I have to forward docker on my Linux server but that should be it.
  12. Running my own router is somethink I thought about, but I don't need another thing to troubleshoot. I want something that works out of the box.
  13. Hey, since my last unresolved topic I decided to ditch the several different routers and APs I currently use (Tp-Link Archer C6 (probably defective HW), Tp-Link VR300, Tp-Link Wireless N Router) and buy a whole mesh system. I was searching Amazon.de (I live in Czechia and the prices seem higher here) and it looks like the have pretty good deals on TP-Link Deco X50 (set of 3 for 224€) (The XE75 is double the price) and Asus ZenWifi XD4, also set of 3 for 246€ or a set of 2 for 132€ (That would make it 264€ for 4 units). Not sure if I need 4th one of the same since I need only 3 to cover the house and 4th one could be an outdoor unit. Also right now my internet connection comes from a terminator (Zyxel VMG4005-B50A) which bonds two DSL connections together and I would need the new router to support PPPoE with WLAN ID and Tag - It didn't work for me otherwise.(Pictures are from my min router (Archer C6) which sits right after the terminator) Which ones would you recommend? The X50 looks good but I'm not sure about TP-Link anymore since my last dealings with my setup. Do they have a compatible additional outdoor unit which I could add. Plus I would love to have a camera on the house and their Tapo looks usable. Or are there any better deals right now? Thanks a lot!
  14. Weird thing is on both the 2.4GHz is super slow like on picture below even when standing next to the router. Download and upload latency seem really high... What could be the problem? If there is a chance there is a bad setting or something that would make our current setup work it would be awesome but if it's a HW failure what would you recommend to buy for a really big house? Right now we have 3 APs and it's barely covering it. I was thinking about a mesh system but it would need to have a wired backhaul (we have concrete walls) and support PPPoE with VLAN ID (That's what I have to set in router) and I don't think I want to go for deco from tplink after this experience. Maybe ASUS ZenWiFi XD4? I found a 3 pack for 247€ on german amazon ( cheapest in my country- CZ is around 330) or maybe a different brand?
  15. They both use different channel and width is set to auto. I used wifi analyzer to check the area but there is minimal interference. Plus the instability persists even when I turn off wifi of the other router
