  1. Well, then you misunderstood my original point. The fact of the matter is that this isn't performing nearly as good as it should be. I should not be stuttering THIS much. Something is wrong, as the problem was not present before
  2. The point isn't that I'm not happy with it's performance... It's that its not performing where it should lmao
  3. how long is the unigine bench? i ran it but i thought it was just an infinite loop cuz it went for so long. temps don't go above 60 under full load
  4. Hi, so I built my PC in order to stream at a good quality without sacrificing frames in game. The build was good at first, but I've had some serious performance issues as of late. So much so that I'm even going below 60 FPS in a game like Borderlands 2, which is extremely easy to run. Changing my graphics settings in any game does not affect its performance for me, so I'm led to believe it is a CPU issue. Yet when I benched my CPU, it was running at or even above the speeds that any other 1700X does. I also tried to stream a very easy to run game like Overwatch, and the framerate stayed high, but in-game, it looked stuttery despite having no frame drops in the frame readings. V-sync seemed to fix the issue, but it was strange since the stuttering I was experiencing was not screen tearing. I've ran the windows mem-test, no problems came up there. my CPU does not max out when streaming and playing any game. The only anomaly I noticed was the 1080 maxing out on performance in Overwatch, but this doesn't seem like a GPU issue? All drivers for all my hardware are up to date Build: Ryzen 7 1700X NZXT Kraken X62 ASUS ROG Strix X370-F gaming MOBO G. SKILL TridentZ 2x8GB set of 3200 Mhz (had to be OC'd to reach 3200, but 3200 is the speed of the RAM, so not really pushing it there. This OC was also done after seeing the performance issues, with no improvement to performance once it was done) EVGA SuperNova 750 G2 ASUS ROG Strix Gtx 1080 OC edition Seagate Barracuda 2TB hard drive Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD running Windows 10 64-bit
  5. I'll try that yeah, but the performance issues happened before I did any OC'ing.
  6. Alright thanks. I still have the performance problems tho, since they were present before I OC'd the ram
  7. Isn't 3200 pretty fast though? I don't know of any guide or benchmark tests that used higher than 3200
  8. Hi, so I built this PC in order to stream at a good quality without sacrificing frames in game. The build was good at first, but I've had some serious performance issues as of late. So much so that I'm even going below 60 FPS in a game like BL2, which is extremely easy to run. Changing my graphics settings in any game does not affect its performance for me, so im led to believe it is a CPU issue. I also notice a slowness in moving tabs around on chrome once they've been open for a while. I've tried trouble shooting many things, such as overclocking and changing my ram voltages, setting specific cores to certain games while off stream and on stream, still get terrible performance. I don't know what's wrong with my build, HELP Build: Ryzen 7 1700X OC'd to 3.9 at 1.3875V and 1.2V SoC voltage (this OC was done AFTER the performance issues, and the issues remain) NZXT Kraken X62 ASUS ROG Strix X370-F gaming MOBO G. 9. I remember a Linus video where he plastidipped the entire PC. Would thermals or any sort of electrical conductivity be a problem if I just did the inside of the case?
  10. So, I'm making a high end build that's RGB and I already picked out my case, and I really am set on it, but then I watched a video with someone who had a white interior for their RGB build inside their case and I thought it looks a lot better than black with RGB. The only mid ATX case I could find that had a white interior and that had the features I wanted was the nzxt s340, but I MUCH prefer the phanteks P400S TG: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854054 so, my question is: if I wanted to paint strictly the inside of the case white, what paint should I be using? (Obviously trying to not increase thermals and have zero electrical conductivity in the paint here)
  11. Hm. Alright. Got it, thanks for the help! I've been in a back and forth with myself and couldn't decide. You helped me out here. I think I'll go ahead and wait for Vega now, which seems like the smarter decision after having this discussion
  12. Since AMD did a whole partner thing with ASUS at Budapest, do you think the ASUS variant for the Vega would come sooner rather than later? I know it's not ideal, but I picked out a bunch of parts with the ASUS aura compatibility in mind, and I picked my 1080 for that reason. So, if I'm getting a Vega, it's gotta be RGB ASUS sync. How late do partner cards usually come out?
