  1. FIXED: ISP was having stability issues, doing much better now
  2. As the title says, OBS is dropping frames for no reason. It was fine like a month ago and my internet has not changed at all. I have an upload speed of about 10 Mbps but i cant even stream 720p 30 fps... I was originally streaming at 1080p 60fps with no problems and i would like to fix this. Also i cant seem to use hardware encoding with my 5700 XT. https://obsproject.com/logs/6cML5GlkgnpuxsKI Log
  3. Mine is at about 60 to 70% on average.
  4. It would be a good idea to get some performance monitoring software (msi afterburner) and play the games you usually play. Record the % usage of both your CPU and GPU on those games, the higher one is likely holding you back more. Until you do that, i personally wouldn't feel comfortable reccomending anything to you. I did the same when i had a 1050 TI and an FX 8120, upgraded the FX first because it was the more limiting factor and i noticed the difference. On a side note, the 5700 and 5700 XT(i own this one) are awesome value, often trading blows with the 2070 super but priced against the 2060 super. My 5700 XT runs every game that i have tried above 120 fps in 1080p and i am now getting into VR and 1440p and both perform great. Hope this helps!
  5. I agree with the other posts about the Ryzen 3600. It is near impossible to beat it for that price.
  6. That is why i wanted to give it a try just to test it. I likely could drop temps even further by doing this manually but I don't see a reason to. I ran a 20 minute furmark test and played some VR and normal games for multiple hours. Even after turning the system off and leaving it for a while then playing more games, i had no problems. No crashing, no stuttering, no weird gpu stuff, just lower temps. In terms of convenience, im quite impressed. However, I know this is bound to piss some enthusiast off lol. This also gives me a good baseline to see what voltages my gpu is able to run at.
  7. As the title says, i just tried this out and i immediately dropped 5 to 8 full degrees in applications at the same fan speed without a drop in frames. Seriously, I was playing Borderlands 3 at around 150 FPS before at around 66 degrees C, now running at the same fps but at 59 degrees (both are NOT junction temp although that is also lower). Fan curve seems to be unchanged but since it doesn't get as hot, it runs at a lower speed. TL:DR I should have tried this earlier. Is anyone else getting these results? GPU: POWERCOLOR AXRX 5700 XT
  8. Yeah that sounds like a plan
  9. Welp apparently the cosmos does not work well with white walls... NVM on that then.
  10. Ah yeah i have a 5700 XT so that is a no go.
  11. I do have enough Usb 3 ports on the back of my motherboard, but the main thing i would like to know is if the OLED higher resolution and higher refresh rate screens on the Cosmos are worth springing for.
  12. But the problem is I play on steam and i dont want a "Similar to PC experience" i want to play the games that are in my steam account on my VR headset. This includes sitting games like Elite Dangerous. EDIT: unless the quest can do that too.
  13. Hey all, I want to get a VR headset but i dont know what one to get. My computer can handle whatever headset i chose but I want to know if I should go for the cheaper rift s or the more expensive Vive Cosmos. I know that the Rift has a lower refresh rate and and a lower resolution but i would like to know if it is really that noticeable. I wanted to get a Valve Index but i live in Canada so not an option. TL;DR, are the slightly better specs really worth $400 more?
