  1. Could I use my ryzen 5 1600 to update it?
  2. I'm trying to build a computer for my dad exclusively for work with AutoCAD and Autodesk. How would you guys tweak this build for better performance? Thanks! (My dad won't be gaming or overclocking at all btw) Specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yzx8zN
  3. I have a 260x1080 freesync (Which as you probably know has g sync) 200 hz monitor
  4. I made my PC in 2017 and haven't upgraded it since other than some new fans and an ssd. Right now, I have an R5 1600 and a gtx 1050 ti. With the new GPUs and CPUs coming out, I was wondering what to upgrade first, with what, and when. Edit: I want to try to take advantage of my 200hz 2560 x 1080 panel on games which is basically the only thing im doing on this computer
  5. When I'm playing a game, my Ryzen 5 1600 consistently goes above 65 degrees for about an hour. Is that too hot for that amount of period? How high is too hot for an hour?
  6. I have a gtx 1050 ti right now and I was wondering if it is worth upgrading to an rx 580 8 gb ($170) or should I just get a gtx 1660 ($220)? Is the performance bump too little between the 1050 ti to rx 580 for the cost?
  7. I try not to play with V sync as I heard it hinders performance and adds input lag.
  8. Sometimes I do see a lot of tearing even at 60 fps, would freesync help there even though that is kinda high?
  9. I recently got an Acer XZ350CU (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009847) and I barely saw a difference in game with 200 hz and I was usually hitting about 120-150 fps with a gtx 1050 ti. I was thinking of upgrading to an amd rx 580 for the freesync. However, It says it has adaptive sync and 144 hz but on the monitor settings, I cant find anyhting about adaptive sync or free sync. Also, on the website, it says it has 144 hz but the monitor says it has 200 hz so does anyone know why that's happening? Is freesync even worth upgrading to or have a bigger impact than a high refresh rate? Also is adaptive sync the same thing as free sync?
  10. How would I make this work if I do switch my gra[hics card to an AMD one? (I have a 1050 ti)
  11. 1. On windows display settings it says that the monitor is 200 Hz and on the monitor settings it says "H: 224 kHz." I'm not sure why they would advertise this as a 144 Hz monitor. 2: So which card do I get because it only says adaptive sync on the box.
  12. So I got the Acer XZ350CU and I expected it to be 144 hz, but it was 200 hz and I expected it to be free sync but it was adaptive sync. I don't really know much about monitors but is that the same thing? If not, what brand of graphics card do I need to use it and how? Thanks!
  13. Thanks, guys, I think that I will just have to go see in a store because I've never felt a mouse that was really perfect for me so I may need to broaden my products.
