  1. I was comparing the 6700k to the 4790k (sorry if I wasn't clear) but I will likely get the 6700K
  2. Looking at benchmarks, although I can't find any involving a 1080, it appears that the difference in frame rate between these two CPUs is only marginal with the 6700 coming out on top only by a few frames and for £50 extra it doesn't seem like it would be worth getting an extra 4 fps or so for that price, given that I will also have to buy ram now as well. I'll have a look now for some benchmarks with 1080 cards.
  3. Is there no need for new ram then so I could stick with my current 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 at 665MHz
  4. I have 8gb of RAM already and yes MB included, although I could go a little bit over for it, my current one has an LGA1155 socket which only supports 2nd and 3rd gen intel CPUs
  5. Hi I recently got an NVIDIA Gtx 1080 and games still aren't running so smooth, I know it's nothing to do with my GPU so I do believe my CPU is bottle necking the GPU. My current CPU is an Intel Core i5 3330 running at 3.00GHz. I am puzzled and what CPU I should be upgrading to I probably have £400 to spend max (aprox. $500). Anyway if anyone can help me come to a decision it would be greatly appreciated, cheers!
