Greetings!
My computer suffers from crashes where the screens turn various colours.
The issue is very intermittent so I've been having trouble isolating the cause. Every time it happens I look in Event Viewer to see if an error was recorded, but all I can see is Event 41 (Kernel-Power, The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.).
If I am watching a video when a crash occurs, the audio continues to play for a considerable time (10 to 20 seconds). Audio is the 3.5mm jack from the motherboard, not HDMI.
I used to have a 4.7GHz overclock at around 1.295v (I can't remember the exact number), but I've brought that down to 4.4GHz at the same voltage to see if that would fix or at least reduce the frequency of the crashes, but it doesn't appear to have had any effect.

Images attached are what the monitors look like when the crash occurs.
30/09/2015
Both monitors are a solid colour, one blue and one white.
1/10/2015
Both monitors are white with vertical black lines.
15/10/2016
Left monitor is solid blue, right monitor is red with vertical black lines.
There were other crashes between 15-10-2016 and now, but I didn't bother recording them. Eventually I thought "Right! That's it! Time to put a stop to this" and that's when I posted this thread. I'll keep a better log from now on and try to list what applications I was using at the time. I don't think it's a software issue though.

Yes, I bought new monitors and a stand. :-)
Both monitors are the same white background with vertical black lines.
4/01/2017
Aqua left screen with black lines and a solid light blue right screen.
No relevant Event Viewer logs.
I was running Chrome, but apart from that the computer was idle and I was away from the keyboard. The only other thing I should mention is that the WiFi dropped out - that's the reason why I was AFK. I've noticed that the crashes sometimes coincide with a loss of internet connection - not always though, and it could be coincidence. Maybe I'll keep turning my router on and off every now and then to see what happens.
If you need any further information, just ask. Thanks for any and all help! :-)
