  1. Another thing is does this require any special technical requirements? Thunderbolt 3 allows for dual 4k at 60 so I suppose it would work with dual 1080 at 144 right?
  2. Might be a stupid question. I am looking to buy a laptop that I want to connect via thunderbolt (display port) to 2 1080 monitors running at 144hz. I also want the screen itself to run at 144hz. So technically 3 screens running at 144hz. I am not really going to be gaming on it. It is really just for work. Running windows, excel, chrome, youtube that sort of thing. Is there a specific level of GPU that I will need for this? Do I need more than a 1660?
  3. Anyone know the name of the shop they called at 17:05?
  4. Haha not upgrade the bios, I meant post the SMART data
  5. I have not updated the bios in neither the x58 nor the h170 platform. Sure, how would I go about doing that?
  6. Smart was OK for all of my drives. Is it strange that the skylake i5 is performing slower than my i7 920?
  7. 64 Bit yes for both 7 and 10 Chipset driver always installed first Gonna run a SMART right now in SeaTools Smart passed on all 3 drives https://gyazo.com/1310f78d0b39606e69aa1a09d85e92d7
  8. Hey Thanks for the post. I am doing a fresh install on the SSD each time and installing all drivers. I am downloading them from gigabyte though so not sure if that has something to do with it.
  9. Hey Everyone, I recently upgraded my platform and I am having strange issues since I did. OS Windows 7 currently but trying to upgrade to 10 Old Platform i7 920 Gigabyte x58-ud3r 8GB ram New Platform i5 6400 16GB ram Gigabyte h170n wifi Other Hardware OCZ trion SSD 600w PSU storage hard drive GTX 750 These are the issues I am having. Windows 7 is significantly slower than windows 10. On windows 10, the following things run slower Internet Speed runs at 20M instead of 100M in windows 7 Zip extraction is about 8x slower Youtube videos skip when I am screensharing on skype Very slow performance in Photoshop when even trying to navigate around photos This is happening regardless of which platform I use General performance in the same operating system is slower in the i5 platform rather than the i7 platform even though the i7 platform is slower than the i5. Much of the same issues as above. I notice that youtube does not skip at all when I am on screenshare on skype No slow performance in photoshop Internet speed is typically around 100M constantly I have a few theories, but I'm having trouble diagnosing the issues. Would love some insight from some more people My Theories 4 threads instead of 8 threads Not sure how much this would effect something like photoshop, youtube and internet speed. Windows 10 requires more resources This is the only thing I can think of, but 16GB ram is quite generous for what I do. No Gaming Web Development Photoshop Youtube So a quick order of which combinations are fastest to slowest i7 + Windows 7 i5 + Windows 7 i7 + Windows 10 i5 + Windows 10 Ideally, I would like to have the i5 + windows 10 Ok that's pretty much everything, could really use some help I can come up with screenshots and benchmarks of all of the system variations, but would really like some insight before hand.
