  1. I just built a new pc with the msi b550 gaming edge wifi and can not install Windows on my nvme sad. I can't even enter bios. If I plug my old sata ssd in with a windows installation it boots directly into windows. with the nvme the system turns on but there is no display output either. when using the sata ssd games cannot run, I start them and they immediately close. specs: CPU: r5 5600x RAM: Crucial Ballistix 3600 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 16GB (8GBx2) CL16 BL2K8G36C16U4B MOBO: MSI B550 gaming edge wifi GPU: msi rx 580 gaming x (same one that was in my old pc) psu: Seasonic FOCUS GM-750, 750W 80+ Gold, Semi-Modular Nvme drive: Samsung 970 Evo plus 500gb
  2. I just got a laptop with a 1050 ti and want to get all the drivers set up, but on nvidia's site when selecting the series there's 10 series and 10 series (notebook). Which do I choose?
  3. So overall would you recommend or suggest something else? I might try to undervolt the gpu a little to help with heat.
  4. I am looking for a thin and light laptop for college and games. I like the thickness and look of the HP Pavilion Power Gaming Laptop. How is it?
  5. I am looking for a thin and light laptop for college and games. I like the thickness and look of the ASUS M580VD. How is it?
  6. I think I'll like this one except it doesn't have an ssd. I would have to get one separately then reinstall the windows on it.
  7. What about the Dell i5577-7700BLK-PU Or the ASUS M580VD-EB54 VivoBook ?
  8. I am looking for a thin and light gaming laptop under or at $900. I know of the ASUS M580VD-EB54 but heard some negative things about it so I'm not sure about it. But it does seem thin and light enough.
  9. So I'm looking at laptops right now and am considering this one with 12gb of ram. I assume it is 8+4. The question is will it operate in dual channel or not?
  10. No, that seems too thick and I dont like the aesthetics. I really want a laptop that comes with an sad so the os can be pre installed on it so I dont have to bother doing it. A 1060 would be nice but not that practical for my price range, and a 1050 or 1050 ti would use less power.
  11. Visually I like this one (the size is nice, thinner than the inspirons, simple look) ASUS M580VD-EB54 VivoBook 15.6" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072C7TNBZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_kKMmAbKTX73QD And I could also add an hdd to it. What are the minor issues you have with it?
  12. I have no idea on a definite weight, I don't know what normal weights are.
  13. I am,looking for a laptop and am willing to spend a max of $900. I want either a 1050 or 1050 ti, minimum 128gb ssd that the os is on and at least room for a 2.5 in hdd for storage. Of course a minimum or 8gb of ram. Don't want it too bulky, and definitely not have a too gamery look. Right now the Dell Inspiron i5577-7359BLK-PUS is on sale for only $700. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFGF7SN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PZLmAb4R1771N I was thinking I could just replace the 5400 hdd with a 7200 one. However I would prefer a 1050 ti. Also the ram is in single channel. Then there's the 256gb ssd i5 version Dell Inspiron https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFGDD8P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5ZLmAb1A7X2NG I could also just add a 1tb 2.5in hdd to it, but again, only 8gb single channel ram and not a 1050 ti. Would there be any real difference in games from the i5 to the i7 with only a 1050? I know dual channel ram is better but it seems most have single channel. Lastly there's a 12gb ram version Dell i5577-7700BLK-PUS https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XVQF486/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_x6LmAb2M2Q686 It might be nice to have more memory in dual channel, especially since games are starting to use more ram, and the 1050 may get vram starved at times and use the spare ram. But I don't like that the hdd is only 5400 rpm. I think I like this last choice best, because the ram and i7, but the i5 has 256gb ssd instead of 128gb. There seems to be many routes to go with even just these inspirons, and I'm not sure which to take. I am open to other laptops and brands, but so far I like how these ones look.
  14. I think the For Honor minimum results are broken, shows full desktop at 61 fps and desk mini at 90. That cannot be correct...
  15. I am honestly disappointed with lmg with this video

  17. 18. DON'T DELID IT, LEAVE IT ALONE. THOSE TEMPS ARE GREAT AND WONT HARM THE CPU. DONT RISK DOING ANYTHING. If you must do something try better thermal paste, though idk what you have.
