FIXED! Turns out at some point there might be some minor changes within the software in the system which caused this issue. Solution for this specific problem was, to format my system drive and do a clean re-installation of windows. Yes I mentioned in my first post that I did a clean re-installation of windows earlier, but I did not completely wipe out the hard drive before doing that. Thanks all who replied.

This doesn't help unfortunately.

Yes, I had my doubts. How can I configure my power plan setting though?

Around 65 Degrees usually. I've never seen it go beyond 75 at full-load.

Hello everyone, I've recently come across some performance issues while gaming. I began noticing this while playing The Witcher 3, where the frames would seem like it's jumping twice every second or so. On the other hand, some games like Warframe works fine. I then tried to run some benchmarks, starting with Fire-strike. It would then crash and reset the PC. In addition to that, overclocking or trying to run a Fire-strike Benchmark test even with factory settings restarts the system. Moving on to Unigine Heaven test, I see a similar frame rate like the one in The Witcher 3. The fps would go up and down frequently. I've also added few charts after running a Unigine Heaven benchmark test. (which did not crash) I not sure exactly about this but recently I made a hardware change to my PC, that is, swapping the old EVGA 500W 80+ PSU to a Corsair RM650x. PC Part Picker : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mttn6s Things that I've attempted : - Display Driver Uninstall in safe mode. - Clean re-installation of Windows 10. - Switching to previous AMD crimson relive driver. - Trying a different PCIE connector. - Changing PCIE slot. I'd appreciate any support here.

Thanks for your response. I've solved this issue by trying to install Win 10 instead of Win 7. Turns out Ryzen/Crosshair VI BIOS does not support older OS.

So I've bypassed my previous problem, where after a hardware upgrade, the pc won't post. Now, I've reset the cmos and checked all connections and the boot is successful. Again, I'm having issues, that the keyboard and mouse suddenly stops working while trying to install windows. Following are the upgrades I've done, Asus crosshair vi hero amd Ryzen 1700 corsair vengeance led 16 gb 3200 mhz reddragon keyboard and mouse. other hardware details can be found on my profile. Any suggestions?

So, I've had trouble posting the pc after some upgrades. The motherboard indicates the cpu is ready to boot. Problem is, the dram led lights up amber and the rams sticks (corsair vengeance led 16 GB 3200 mhz) won't light up either. What is the meaning of the amber light? Compatibility issues with the default bios? Which are the compatible ram sticks for this system?

Hi, I tried some upgrades in my pc today, with the asus crosshair vi, ryzen 7 1700, and 2 ddr4 led kits from corsair (16 gb, 3200mhz). When I try to start the pc, it won't post on the screen and the input peripherals won't work either. The ram sticks won't light up and I've tried every modules with single and dual channels. No posts. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

fx8320 FX 8320 Throttling and Stock Voltage
Alimagination replied to Alimagination's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
its a regular MSI 970 Gaming motherboard -
I currently have an AMD FX 8320 Running at 3.5 Ghz cooled by a Be Quiet! Dark rock Pro Slim CPU Cooler. I'm having some serious performance drops while playing games like The Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'm assuming that my CPU is throttling. How can I stabilise my CPU? The CPU is currently running at 1.104 Volts. What is the recommended stock Voltage for this processor? Do I have any head rooms for overclocking? Thanks.

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my CPU cooler. I currently have a FX-8320 and I'm planning to use a compatible high performance liquid cooler for overclocking. Also, I'm planning to build a new RYZEN PC, use the same cooler for the new socket and also saving costs. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Jayz's video on a dead CPU
Alimagination replied to Alimagination's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Thanks for your response. -
I just watched a video from JayzTwoCents, here : I blew up a CPU while benchmarking... FAIL Jay explains how the processor died while overclocking the FX-8320. At 7:05 he explains how he could have done it differently and I did not get the part after he says ".. powered it down, cleared the C-..., and then I wouldn't have this issue." What was the thing he should have cleared?

Motherboard for AMD FX-8320
Alimagination replied to Alimagination's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Thank you verymuch to all who responded! Looks like a new ATX supporting chassis and MSI 970 Gaming is a cheapest and reliable choice for me.
