  1. Well, I was kind of afraid that there's nothing to do anyway. >.> I'm thinking about getting the original HyperX Cloud in some point as it turns out theyre quite cheap at the moment, so maybe I'll just suffer with this little issue for now. And yeah, I also realized that dongles wont help, as I got my headset plugged into my keyboard at the moment, and that didn't fix it either. Thanks anyways
  2. Well, the title says the most of it. I'm using Logitech's G35 USB headset. When I'm on my desktop without any apps opened up, no issues there, everything's fine. When I open something that uses my mic, for example Discord, OBS, CS:GO etc, I start hearing a high pitch noise from the left speaker of my headphones. If I mute my mic (press the mic mute button or lift the mic up), the noise isn't as bad, but when I put the mic back on, the noise gets louder. I've tried different USB ports, and nothing helps. I've tried to switch the usb port, so discord wouldnt recognize the mic anymore, theres no noise. But as soon as I select the Logitech as sound input, it comes back. Any ideas if there's a way to fix it, or is the only way to get a new headset? Pc specs down in my signature. Thanks for all the help in advance.
  3. Well, the title says it all. After the recent big patch on King of the Kill, my fps dropped down from 100+ to 30-40. Also noticed that my CPU usage is 95%+ nearly all the time while playing H1. I've tried /r/kotk but nobody seems to know how to fix it, and only a handful of people seems to have this problem. Fps goes up to 60 randomly towards the end-game, but it mostly sits around 30-40. Running the game on ultra settings, just like I used to do before. I've already tried flashing bios, resetting CPU overclock, resetting GPU overclock, going through all power management options from windows, running KotK and other .exes from it's folder as admin and Win 7 compatibility mode, fiddling with graphics settings in nvidia control panel, and nothing seems to work. Slightly desperate at this point, as I have no clue what to try out next. All help is very much appreciated. Edit: Also tried re-installing the game and verifying integrity of game files. Full pc specs in signature-
  4. I might downclock a bit after i've hit the highest i can just for the same, not too loud now tho, just noticed that idles are ~5 degrees high than at 4.7GHz
  5. Yeah I thought about the same thing, if it would even worth it anymore, but thats why I made this thread. Not too comfy with idea of delidding (atleast yet ) as my pc is 2 months old and I'm not comfortable with voiding any warranties.. Maybe ill upgrade the cooler sometime soon! =)
  6. I prooobably dont need more, this thing is just kind of.. addicting.. Im just curious if i should or could push it harder!
  7. Finished up 4 hours and 16 minutes of aida stability test, no issues, maximum peak temperatures were around 80c as you can see from the screenshot
  8. Hello! First of all, this is my first overclocking attempt. So I decided to try out overclocking my i5-7600k. I managed to get to the "magical 5GHz" with 1.35v, and I've only changed the main core voltage. With Aida64's stability test, I noticed that it's using up to 1.28v, so I was wondering if I could/should try to pull more out of my CPU. So the question is, which settings should I change, what should I do next, or should I do nothing and be (very) happy with how far I've gotten so far. Specs: CPU: i5-7600k @5.0GHz with Cooler Master Z600 cooled by Noctua NF-F12 RAM: HyperX Fury 2x4GB @2400MHz MOBO: Gigabyte Z270 HD3P GPU: Asus GTX 1060 6GB Dual OC PSU: SeaSonic M12II 520W SSD: Kingston V300 120GB HDD: WD Blue 1TB And all of it is stuffed into a Phanteks Eclipse P400.
  9. My case's delivery box fits my pc and all peripherals and cables, just gotta carry monitor as it is tho.
  10. Im streaming CS:GO and Tera with OBS, using GPU for encoding. Tried CPU but i couldnt get same quality out without lagging my games. i5-7600k, GTX 1060 6GB OC, 8GB HyperX Fury DDR4. Both of these games are heavier on CPU than GPU, and i havent really tried streaming anything else. So i think it depends on games you play.
  11. Oh wow, didnt pay enough of attention. Probably Noctua NF-F12 in that case.
  12. Everyone is giving compliments to Cryorig H7, which i was about to get myself aswell. Review here. https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CRYORIG/H7_Universal/6.html theres also noise leves and fan speeds on further pages. Told to be the best budget CPU cooler around at the moment.
  13. Mentioned above, and everything cranked up manually from settings. Right now, the biggest issue is csgo fps Sure its high, around 300-350 now, but smoke drops it to 60, which kinda sucks as its a huge input lag in smokes.
  14. Multicore rendering on, ive tried everything minimum, midrange, highest, resolution 1280x960, 1920x1080, 1600x1200. Tried fiddling all the settings one by one for 2-3 hours now. The benchmark from steam community workbench gives me 56fps when entering smoke. Average ~345 after putting up higher resolution. But the lag in smokes is so irritating.
  15. Ahh, could be. Still tho, his card has third of the VRAM (which Tomb Raider wants to have) and still same/a bit better fps than im getting, just sounds kind of weird to me. He said that the reason could be that im running DX12 and he was running DX11 on win 7.
