Shouldn't have been using the cheat software. If you used it, even unknowingly, in a multiplayer game, you deserve the ban. Period.

Here are some more pictures of the C4-SFX. Yes you look right there is no type-c port on the i/o. I tried everything to keep it but the port itself requires a very long part behind the port that will collide with the front hdd. The supplier make some tests to make it shorter but failed.

Here are some first shots of the C4-SFX made by Lian Li. I will get more the next days. Keep in mind, that the Window panel screws are not the correct one. Currently you see a acrylic sample of the Window Kit because the tempered glass version isn't done:

TARS reacted to TheSLSAMG in Gigabyte Warranty BS
To be fair, you should've pressed the seller. It's not Gigabyte's responsibility to help you because the previous owner lost it/didn't give it to you. It would be Gigabyte's fault if it were absent from a BNIB package, but that's not the case here.

TARS got a reaction from MVPernula in I’m new and want to learn how PC’s work!
I guess I’m the odd one that didn’t grow up in the YouTube era to teach me, while I will admit it can be a good resource... the best resource is actually working on a computer.
Older computers can be had for real cheap and the experience you will gain with hands on can’t be matched, other options would be to hang out at a computer shop and ask a lot of questions, before you know it a guy will take you aside and allow you to watch.
There are a lot of little things in PC building that YouTube rarely gets into, things you learn along the way for better or for worse... I have seen a lot of new PC builders go through these little struggles that learned from YouTube.

TARS reacted to WoodenMarker in CPU Cooler Performance Tier List
I'll edit out the 'Worst' part in the tier title. It's a bit misleading.
The NH-DL9 is an impressive cooler for it's size at a height of 110mm. It's the smallest on the list.
I'm pretty used to looking at non-English benchmarks but any links would be appreciated

TARS got a reaction from Ace McPlane in Asus AI suite 3 (Fan Controller) no longer opens
I thought I had a unique issue here, I’m glad to know it’s not just me (Z87i-Deluxe)
I’m up and running using AI Suite III v1.01.46 using the method I posted.

TARS got a reaction from Ace McPlane in Asus AI suite 3 (Fan Controller) no longer opens
Update 5/21 this method isn't working anymore, use the pinned method
Found a work around
Uninstall AI suite Download and run AI suite cleaner https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?95038-AI-Suite-3-cleaner Download your AI suite 3, extract First run DrvResource\AXSP\axins.exe as administrator Then run Setup.exe in the main directory as administrator

TARS got a reaction from CoinDuckling369 in Windows Migration to new drive
I have been cloning my hard drives for many o years and have never had an issue, normally I install windows, configure it to my liking and clone it... that way it’s ready when I need it.
For the drive it’s replacing, it will get cloned to the clone. Granted the software installed on my original is pretty minimal but your making an exact copy of the drive, if you know what your doing and are using reputable software there shouldn’t be an issue.

TARS reacted to stennly in Asus x99 Deluxe Bent Capacitor
The capacitor could have been fine, but for future reference you can see that the legs were pulled out with the copper and solder from within the hole (very bad, impossible to fix). So while it may have worked OK, it would be impossible to resolder it to the internal power layers where it was actually ripped away.
The little ceramic cap to the left of the electrolytic also doesnt loop too happy, since it was cracked away.
So in short, you did the right thing returning it
