All you need to decrypt and watch a 4K Blu-ray is a UHD drive (such as LG WH16NS40), VLC, and AnyDVDHD, all the other crap is only needed if you want to conform to how you are supposed to watch UHD disks. The newest UHD drives have added firmware to halt our ability to backup or view the discs we own unfortunately.

Confusion with anti static strap grounding
TARS replied to jonkreacher's topic in New Builds and Planning
I have been building computers for a very long time and have never used one, now that’s not to say the practice of using a strap is bad, but you can be fairly safe with out one. A few best practices: Dont work on carpet Touch some bare metal with your hand to discharge your self prior to handling components Be mindfull in the clothing you wear, such as wearing a wool sweater, etc. But to answer your original question, you can clip it to some bare metal where ever you are working and it should serve its purpose just fine (such as your radiator). -
There just isn't enough surface area of an itx board to be concerned over the color, with heatsinks, ram, and gpu you don't see the board anymore.

Interesting case, on the gpu front you should be fine with either type. For the case decision I would choose small or medium top, Noctua makes a few nice (under 66mm) coolers that will fit & cool excellent in that case. Also for the sfx psu you will require... Corsair has the 2 best options, SF450 & SF600

You may also need a dash kit if your current radio is double din I recommend purchasing a stereo via Crutchfield, they provide the installation materials and instructions with all their car stereos

Are you using a wireless NIC card?

This may be an option that's worth considering, it's not a direct replacement... but should be easily installed. https://www.hdplex.com/hdplex-400w-hi-fi-dc-atx-power-supply-16v-24v-wide-range-voltage-input.html

The ram is the correct type and on paper the speed is handled by the motherboard, but that doesn’t mean it’s compatible... all to often ram is incompatible with mother boards, often manufacturers update their bios overtime to increase compatibility but there is no guarantee. You might want to reset the CMOS just in case. I imagine you can’t even run a mem test as it won’t post?
-
It could be ram incompatibility, it good be bad ram. A bios update wouldn't be a bad idea.

I guess I’m the odd one that didn’t grow up in the YouTube era to teach me, while I will admit it can be a good resource... the best resource is actually working on a computer. Older computers can be had for real cheap and the experience you will gain with hands on can’t be matched, other options would be to hang out at a computer shop and ask a lot of questions, before you know it a guy will take you aside and allow you to watch. There are a lot of little things in PC building that YouTube rarely gets into, things you learn along the way for better or for worse... I have seen a lot of new PC builders go through these little struggles that learned from YouTube.
