CHKR reacted to kelvinhall05 in Is grammarly safe?
I've used it for over a year now, and it has not only drastically improved my grammar, but I haven't really found any issues with it. I'd go for it but personally wouldn't buy the Premium membership.

CHKR reacted to Apextier in Spotify Opens at login (Mac)
@CHILDISH_K1LL3R There are a few things you could try.
Clear the cache in ~/Library/Caches/com.spotify.* and log out and back in, see if that rectifies the problem. You can see what the config is set to for auto log by running the following command. If all else fails just nuke the "~/Library/Application Support/Spotify" directory.
cat "~/Library/Application Support/Spotify/prefs"
There should be a line that says app.autostart-configured=<true/false> which should be changing when you set the preference from within the Spotify app.

CHKR got a reaction from Oberon.Smite in AMD RX Vega & Threadripper Specs & Pricing Discussion
When you think you can finally get a high performance card for a low price.
BAM
300watts
Now you have to get a new PSU.
Though I do like how they are selling it in bundles to TRY to fix the problem of coin miners, but since it's so powerful I don't think coin miners would care about the extra things, they would probably just sell the parts online or give it to others.

Unless you're already severely CPU bound it's generally better to go for a better graphics cards than the better processor.

Don't get all hyped up. There 1060s and at that it's the 3gb version. So it's weaker then an actaul 1060 Should be. They should called the 1050ti v2,

CHKR reacted to minibois in Photo Editing Softwares for Mac ?
The obvious answers will be (as mentioned before), Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop (Lightroom I have heard is a lot faster/easier with some more basic-ish/common photo manipulation tools). These are paid programs, with monthly subscriptions though (unless you go for an older version).
Gimp might be a very good option too, I have used it for years, but I am not that much into photo editing, so can't comment on how well that goes..
In terms of ease of use, all these programs have a learning curve, which their steepness depends on what kind of programs you're used too.
Gimp is 100% free and Lightroom and Photoshop both have 30 day trials, so you can give all three a try.

CHKR reacted to Rabih.H in Xbox One X -vs- PC... A video request.
Hi there everyone. I've been on YouTube quite a bit lately, and have found so many misguided people who aren't too knowledgeable of the true facts regarding the One X, only believing what Microsoft is marketing. So many people are believing that the One X is a true 4K 60FPS console, where in reality literally only 1 game has been announced to run at 4K 60FPS, and that is Forza 7. In fact, only a handful of games are actually able to run at 4K at all on the new console.
Also, people are not understanding the fact that despite the 4K resolution 90% of these games will be running at low visual quality, which is fairly easy to achieve at 4K using PC hardware. In fact, it's so easy that I've been able to put together a solid part list for ~$500 that meets the One X's performance.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

It even includes WiFi and gaming grade peripherals (to match the controller/on-board WiFi) the One X has. Count in the fact that the PC will be superior for productivity, upgradability, aesthetics (if that's your thing), free online multiplayer, a better overall online community and a plethora of decent free/cheaper games, I think that the PC is the winner. The only argument for consoles I would pitch forward would be exclusives. Linus, I reckon it wouldn't be a bad idea at all to put together a video that pitches this forward. Tell me what you guys think, I've honestly got an open mind in this argument, I'm not bias and have both an Xbox One and my own gaming PC. Thanks

CHKR reacted to Deli in Xbox One X -vs- PC... A video request.
Oh, not this console vs PC thing again.
BTW, you may be right about productivity, upgradability, etc. But certainly not aesthetics. Those cheap PC cases are the ugliest thing in the world. No way I'll ever put one of those in my living room.

CHKR reacted to Bagera in Newbie to CPU W. Cooling
AIO watercooler (AIO stands for All In One) is a complete pre build watercooling set. It's rather easy to install. You will find multiple Youtube video's that show you exactly how to install the Corsair H100i v2. Here is one for example. Just watch one, or a few if u are not confident yet.

As said for AIO's they are filled from the factory and require no maintenance to change the fluid.

CHKR reacted to PCMasterDebater in URGENT!!! Paper Structure Design
I remember doing a similar project in highschool. Using only 8x11 printer paper and one roll plastic tape, the goal was to create a paper structure as tall as you could with one rule, the base couldn't exceed 12"x12". My friend and I ended the contest in first place. We rolled the paper and created scaffolding similar to that of a high voltage power lines. We were within inches of reaching the classrooms 12' foot high ceiling; it was quite the sight. I sorta cheated by bringing in a my own stack of premium 8x11 printer paper that was far thicker then what the rest of the class was using. muhahahahaha. I like to win, what can I say

Just be sure to download the latest bios for your motherboard and you will be fine. Without it your mobo won't be able to identify the 7600k.

CHKR reacted to Sack in Headphones... Yeah, I can't come up with other titles
Well now my reply is gone, and I can't be bothered to type it all up again so...
TL;DR get the sennheiser ones, they make both good headphones and microphones, gaming company headsets sound awfull most of the time compared to proper headphones. The razer ones will break for absolute no reason don't get them.

CHKR reacted to pbx2 in Kaby Lake & Skylake
Do not upgrade, it's a waste unless you want 4K Netflix, even then you have to use edge.
Motherboard wise, you do not need to upgrade to z270 unless you want >1 M.2 slot.
