In my experience installing car audio setups, you'd be more prone to notice humming or hissing if both the amps were using different grounding points, or maybe have a delay if your RCA inputs from your head unit were of absurdly different lengths. However, I ran a full set of Alpine Type-R's in my 2003 Toyota Corolla, plus an 8 inch sub in a custom enclosure, and had no problem with a 4 channel amp + a mono-block subwoofer amp.

The only thing I had to resolve was hiss caused by using a Y-splitter on the RCA inputs to provide an input for the subwoofer amp because my headunit only had 4 channel output built in. This was easily solved by adding a ground loop isolator to either the RCA's feeding the sub amp or the 4 channel speaker amp. (I can't remember which.) I still have my setup sitting in storage as I replaced that car, but yeah you should be fine to run both amps.

Just make sure you use an appropriately sized fuse if running a single 4 gauge power cable from the engine bay, along with a fused power distribution block, too, then ground both amps to the same point on an unpainted surface of the car. Run your audio cables (speaker wire + RCAs) down the opposite side of the car than your power cable to eliminate noise/interference, and pickup some sound deadening material if your car has rattling panels.

I used to have 3 separate amps for my car setup and never really noticed a difference, like kirashi said the RCA would have to be an absurbly different length for there to be an audible difference. Even time alignment software which causes speakers to be delayed only shifts the perception of positioning of sound, and can never go far enough to cause an audible echo.

Run the power cables down the center tunnel where your transmission is, and audio cables down the door sills. That's the way i always run my cables to avoid any strange interferences.

check and see if there are any driver updates for the GPU and download them onto a formatted USB then put that USB in the new computer and try to update inside the UFEI. I had a similar issue once and that solved it.

If you can afford the i7 then why not get it? Always get the best stuff you can afford.

No, it's hardly necessary. Think of it as an occasional, case-specific extra boost over the hard specs of the CPU (cores, clocks, cache).

I can afford an i7-7980X, a compatible motherboard, and a Quadro P6000, but I would be an idiot if I spent my money on that...

I'd rather say always go for the "sweet spot" for your needs. There's always something more expensive out there with dubious real-world benefits for a particular person's use case.

I need some help. I own a 2004 Mustang GT convertible with a failing alternator. Given the fact that I’m 17 I am obviously young, relatively dumb, and just about broke. This being said I have no idea what to look for in an alternator. I’m seeing prices range from $70-400USD and as most people I want to spend as little as possible and still get a reliable product. Can anyone help me find a new(at least new to me) alternator??

@OP do you know what base he is stationed at, like the name of it and also do you know what division he is with?  If you know these things i can try and help get you close.

Not always that simple when it involves a service member deployed in another country.

    No, the OP is correct.
There isn't enough of a legal basis for them to act especially since the offending party is well beyond their jurisdiction.

Indeed it is a serious matter.  Definitely the best thing the OP can do is get in touch with the base and get with the legal office.

Service members go through annual training to not do such behavior and understand the consequences of said behavior.

The base's EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) office is likely the best place to contact. Although your sister is not a Federal employee, I would think the EEO Commission might be able to provide some guidance on what to do in this situation.

I think the Army has a criminal investigation branch similar to how the Navy and Marine corps has NCIS. You might consider contacting them and sending them copy's of the evidence.

I was able to contact the CO by email last night. I received a phone call from him this morning to give him more information and he was pissed. I just got off the phone with him and the soldier causing the issue about 5 minutes ago and the issue was thoroughly taken care of to say the least. Thank you to everyone for your help and concern.

Could try contacting the base commander there but I'm not sure how far that'll get you.

Based on my personal experience between the two, I haven't noticed any difference in terms of performance. Mainly because of the inherent latency of wireless networks.

Killer networking prides itself in having less latency than other brands but if you care about 5 ms of latency, you wouldn't use wireless in the first place.

I would recommend the intel over the killer for reliability. However, make sure your laptop has no BIOS wifi whitelist. Some OEM brands like HP and Lenovo lock the BIOS to only accept specific wifi cards. The PC wouldn't boot if it detects any others.

The asus has horrible cooling, and the Alienware seems a bit biased on your part. Along with the quality control issues that they've had as of late.

Second one. Fine. I prefer the longer battery life. I have one. Fine if you get it at the RIGHT price. And you're willing to fix it. Do not for the love of god get this anywhere near MSRP. I got mine so heavily discounted it was desktop pricing levels.

Exactly! Idk why everyone keeps saying that the RX 480 destroys the 1060. Like, for real, they are within 1% of each other and depending on which games you play, one might be faster than the other!
