I finally settled for UPDF, there was actualy a sponsor on an LTT video that made me decide for it.
Price is around 50 USD when I got it in october (there is a sale for black friday right now that is a farse, sells for the same price), perpetual license, easy to use, multiplatform ecxept for Linux sadly.
Going to update how it works. havn't had much time to play around with it.

Thanks for the tip, me and my family just moved into my grandfather's home so I'll be retrofitting the entire home with a brand new ethernet network, and I really want to start with a 2.5 gbit hardware.

It's not 8bitdo, it's Microsoft. The Xbox consoles don't support Bluetooth for their controllers, they use a proprietary wireless protocol. The Xbox controllers support Bluetooth to enable support with Windows, as the Xbox controller is the default Windows controller.

Unless Microsoft were to license their wireless protocol to 8bitdo, the only option is to make a wired controller.

Drexo got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Browsers not saving passwords for autofill
I'm having a problem with 2 browsers already, Edge which was my default browser and now Chrome.
I just had to switch because it was making my life HELL!
I'm setting up a new Synology NAS and the damn passwords I chose for every user are long and secure as they should be but entering each account every time got extremely annoying because I had to do a separate Excel to save the accounts to copy and paste every time because the stupid browesers, both of them wont remember the users and passwords. Edge just remembered it the first time but than I had to make adjustments cancel some users and make some new ones and the latter are not being remembered so no autofill for me.
I'm noticing a trend. The page I have to enter to log into the nas is recognized by the NAS as unsecure and wont let me in unless I expressly accept.
Is that the reason why it wont remember accounts? I can I correct and bypass this?
    Thank you.

I'd be wary of Chinese or knockoff batteries in general. They like to explode, and QC is lacking to say the least. There's some things you just shouldn't take a risk with.

I'd also just recommend getting a regular external battery. Not only does it then have the ability to charge anything, but it can still be used when you get a new phone in the future. Apple just loves to change the phone dimensions by a millimeter here and a millimeter there so that whatever case you had before no longer fits. Then, your battery case is ewaste.

Thank you for your suggestion but Time Machine is the real reason I am considering going with iPhoto, I haven't found anything so straightforward like it for backup routines.

Drexo got a reaction from da na in iPhoto these days
Well, we all saw it coming... Google Photo infinite storage had to end some day, that day was las week and I am not paying for more cloud storage like most sensible people.
I still haven't decided what to do but it will involve a home NAS, not now, but next year for sure.
Meanwhile I have to keep storing my wife's and my photos somewhere, Google Photo will hold for sometime but I need to start getting in the habit of storing my photos and videos in one single place, possibly at home this time.
I started re-considering iPhoto on MacOS, I have an old Mac with a time machine backup routine that will give me some peace of mind for the moment but it was a very long time ago I last used it.
Getting to my point, how is iPhoto working these days? Last time I remember once I got my photos into iPhoto I could choose the Albums to sync, via iTunes, with my iPhone 3GS or iPod to take on the go but since iTunes lost its importance or got trashed altogether, I'm not informed, how do you keep your photos around in your iPhone right now?
I'll point out the iPhone 4s was my last iPhone after I switched to Android but I'm considering returning to iPhones again for better integration with iPhoto.
    Thank you for your time.

Amd apu maxs out at 16gb used with 32+ system ram.  Not sure how fps would be affected, it won't be comparable to discrete gpu with 16 gb.

Drexo got a reaction from Ben17 in GeForce MX250 2nd display limitations
    Hi.
I wanted to ask the community about a limitations that I came across about the MX250.
I'm planning to buy soon a new laptop, the model being an Inspiron 5391, the new 13" model with a 10th gen i7 and MX250.
The model exists literally nowhere except in retail stores, on the Dell page there's just a description for the Inspiron 5000 series but no way to buy it, I don't know why but it's been this way for as long as I remember and it's a pity since the 5000 and 7000 Inspiron series offer the best bang for buck performance and hardware compared to the overpriced/overrated XPS series. I'm getting mine at a retail store but can be found on some 3rd party websites too.
Well, on this retailer's page I was reading up on the official Dell's instruction manual and in the Video section says and I quote:
"Controller: Nvidia GeForce MX250 | Compatible with external display: NOT COMPATIBLE"
"Controller: Intel UHD Graphics | Compatible with external display: 1 port HDMI 1.4".

Is this for real, so after looking for so long for my perfect laptop, the dedicated discrete GPU cannot output to a 2nd display? Really, why?
Why does the crappy good for nothing Intel UHD get to output instead?
Is this absurd limitation the same for all MX150, MX250 across all other brands?
I need to know, because if it is, I'm excluding all discrete GPUs from now on.
It will not be my main rig but I still want to have the possibility to hook up my big external display at home for some casual gaming.
    Thank you.

Not from the US but that's the least of my troubles since I'm going to import it from there with the help of a friend anyway.
About the GPU could be anything just not an Intel HD 620.
I'm not an artist even if I do some graphics designing time to time so of the screen is color accurate or not it doesn't matter, just hoping it looks good and it's well lit.

Today I found this one, it's the Asus Zenbook Flip 14 with and MX150 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QR6DKHV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_CKs1DbM3RTYSC).
I've known this model for sometime already but looks like it's finally affordable in my price range if I buy it used. Ticks all my boxes so far, but if you still have something to suggest go ahead, thanks.

Drexo got a reaction from genexis_x in Looking for a Thunderbolt3 with MX150 Laptop
Look thanks for the help I think this question is solved I'll update my search with a new post.
I'm making the following assumption that is really invalidating the need for a TB3:
...I am looking for the most affordable ultrabook, or at least portable enough, with a TB3 but with a decent enough dedicated GPU to avoid incurring in the need have to buy an egpu right away, I wouldn't de able to afford both a new laptop and an egpu at the same time. By the time I'll need to buy an egpu to compensate for the laptop's going outdated, by that time, I'm guessing in a couple of years, I'll have to change the laptop anyway so why bothering having TB3 in the first place right now...?
