Okay so long story short, I ws going to but two sticks of ram but I got annoyed and bough a single stick. Now I'm wondering if I can fill the empty RAM slots with anything that will hide them as they are ugly. Any suggestions??

Hi guys, im really stuck for choice. so its finally come for me to upgrade im hoping to go for a ryzen 5 CPU however, im not sure on what would be the better choice for the GPU, i know bottle necking wont be an issue but im not entirely sure what would be the best combination of cpu and gpu. apologies if i posted in the wrong thread ryzen 5 2600+gtx1060 ryzen 5 2600+rx 580 ryzen 5 2600x+rx 580 ryzen 5 2600x+ rx 570

hmm, I was thinking more outside of that, as I hear its very limited in terms of gaming, my friend also said they wanted to be able to play online multiplayer but that if they did do that it would only be limited to me and our other friends. I also hear steam doesn't offer online multiplayer

hi guys, is it possible to have a low spec system (non-upgradable) and have another entry level gaming PC to run games on BUT play them on the lower end PC, as you do with steam OS kind of, the lower end spec PC would be non-upgradable, and an all in one PC. I want to get my friend into gaming but they don't want steam machines and Nvidia shield but you be happy having another tower that ran games externally if possible, sorry for the bad explanation, all help welcome if you need anymore information, don't hesitate to ask and I'm looking for as much help as possible so feel free to reply with criticisms or tips or anything really

Do any PCIe 2.0 or PCI VGA expansion cards exist, I've had a look myself and i can only find serial port cards, not sure if these will work

how do i know the difference between active and non-active adapters? I can only find what appear to be non-active ones as there doesn't seem to be power going to them? i would have thought it be powered by usb or something?

hi, im going you pout up a projector, unfortunately, due to the pricing i am not able to buy a newer projector and so am stuck with a VGA input projector, i want to connect the projector to my desktop, the graphics card i am using (GTX 960) has dvi-i (in use) hdmi and display port 1.2, what would be the fastest cable to use in conjunction with the projector (i need 10m of cable to reach the projector): 1. display port to VGA 2. VGA to VGA 3. HDMI to VGA Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

hi there, im helping build i small formfactor gaming pc for my friend and we were wondering what the dimensions of an AMD athlon x4 870k's cpu cooler are, if any one know oir can find out please could you leave them in the repliess below as this would be of huge help, thanks

i was thinking i could do that too, i guess that would be one way to do it.. i just want to see what people think and how they would go about it, in terms or ventalation and space or even if there was a company the did sidepanels..

yeah exactly, but id want the GPU protected to some degree, yeah sure leaving the case open but id prefer it to be closed..

i guess but it would be an idea to make a sort of ghetto external gpu enclosure and bolt it to a case like that of the Dell OptiPlex 7040. because my idea was to maybe buy a retail pc like Dell OptiPlex 7040 and perfrom this mod and use it myself, if not the OptiPlex thex then maybe some other small formfactor build where a bigger powerful card isnt the right size for the available space in the case but the builder has enough to make a ghetto external enclosure... cus i really want to try something like this as stupid as it may seem...

im thinking something more on the cheaper side, if i were to spend £/$300 on an external enclosure why would i not just buy a case to fit the gpu?
