  1. Got a new case, the Corsair 4000D RGB. That was a treat to build in tbh - but my PSU died shortly after lol. So, also got a new PSU also Corsair. I do love the Corsair AF fans, pretty quiet and move a lot of air - thinking of upgrading my CPU cooler fans to the same.
  2. Just an update - I got the new PSU and everything works amazingly. Really appreciate the help. thank you. the GPU spiked on cyberpunk to 280w of usage which before would max at 200 watts - I almost fear 850 watts isn’t enough haha.
  3. I can’t thank you enough for your help, I really appreciate it - I will use the supplied Corsair cables then!
  4. Okay, would you think the RM850x from Corsair would be good? It’s an 850w gold PSU - one of the few that’s available locally. Also, would it be wise to use the cables it comes with - I bought a cable mod kit to dress the system up but have seen mixed issues online. thank you so much for your help.
  5. I believe it’s an EVGA 750w bronze, I did reuse that - so it is around 3 years old now. I’m thinking when the PC pulls a lot of power, I was playing starfield, it goes kaput, so probably a PSU issue?
  6. Running a few updates on the chipset drivers and such, I have two eight pin connections going to the gpu, no daisy chaining - though I had just seen the red light on the GPU above the power connectors looking into why that is, or was.. I had loaded up a game to see if it would work but the computer crashed again.
  7. This was on a previous build, this build has all new storage drives - the nvidia card has never been installed here.
  8. Hey there, had a weird moment where my PC crashed - only output on one port of the gpu. Resolved it by uninstalling AMD adrenaline and having windows install a driver - then it worked. Any ideas on why this sort of thing could’ve happened? I’ve had a 1660 Super before and I’ve crashed it OC’ing, but I haven’t OC’d this card. system info : 5600x3d 32gb of 3200mhz gskill asus 7700xt tuf gaming asus b550 tuf gaming ii I just recently built this system and have about 10-15 hours on it. Always watch temps and nothing goes above 60c. just weirded out as mentioned I had over clocked an nvidia card had it crash but never reinstalled graphics, but I’ve been treating my new card like a baby. if anyone has any insight I’d appreciate it, thank you.
  9. Weird question here - anyone have experience making their own cabin air filters? It’s getting more and more difficult sourcing the air filters for my Mazda protege much less even finding a single filter for less than 50 dollars on eBay. No North American protégés came with cabin air filters, I like installing them for obvious reasons. The only ones that work are for the Mazda premacy which has the same internal air box but are a European/ Asian based version. I’m thinking of just cutting out the old filter media, while it is super tough with the charcoal inside, and putting a big bead of glue down to adhere the new media to the frames of the filter. are there any other North American cars that came with a charcoal filter?
  10. Hello all not sure what to really look up when I’m researching a solution for this situation but I figured I’d post here and see if anyone has suggestions. I’m looking for a solution to broadcast basically a webpage from a local physical machine on kiosk mode in chrome to three or more TV’s. The machine is connected via Ethernet to our network, and the TV’s would need to have a wireless interface between them and our AP’s. the physical machine only has that Ethernet connection, but I was wondering if there’s a scalable budget friendly option. Something that uses our AP’s to connect with, and maybe a sort of HDMI device to plug into the TV that does not require external power. the ideal solution is something like a web client that finds the receivers on the TV’s that are wirelessly connected. not sure if something like this exists, any suggestions or guidance would be greatly welcomed. Thank you.

These are all the older employees for IT, I had assumed they’d gotten used to powershell haha. I’m just used to headless servers. I understand that much, but we’re all in IT, and if I can complete a task in a few minutes vs an hour… I’m very pro workers rights and everything don’t get me wrong but we sit around all day why not learn new skills? And as I mentioned above, I’d had thought these people who are supposed to be training me would know of windows most powerful tool…
  12. Working with people who never use powershell is super interesting. They’d rather use the GUI to see all disabled users by opening each ou in aduc rather than type a simple command. Hmmmm *eyeroll*

They also may not type all that well.  If you’re a crappy enough typist powershell is actually slower.  It’s known for its exceptionally long commands and syntax errors are syntax errors

They probably learned CMD then.  CMD works in powershell.  It’s sort of incorporated.   If they’re really really old they learned something else.  I learned KORNshell because it was the original “runs on PC, *nix, and Mac” the new one is powershell.

  20. Just replaced my rear shocks, sheesh, what a deference. Did the fronts last year, rides much smoother. Felt like I was on a roller coaster before, now…now it feels like I’m on a newly serviced roller coaster.
