ok let's go, I'm curious now.
I will give you slow.... No arguing that one.
I'm not sure why giving the characters some depth is pointless. I enjoyed that I got more than a vague description of the character traits. I would actually put the character development as the best trait of the show
I don't agree that it's so slow it bores, i would give that title to any dbz fight sequence, hands down
As for predictable fight sequences, what are you saying is predictable? The moves themselves, the outcomes, or are you annoyed how they explain the "physics" of the moves when doing them? The moves can be a bit predictable i'll admit, and they explain too much, but the outcomes i've enjoyed and the way the fights are drawn has been well done. The fact that the main OP character didn't start out OP and hasn't won every fight like in DBZ would be a good thing in my book
What character dialogue did you find pointless, there's some filler sure, but i've never found the dialogue excessive personally.
Lastly what character motivations aren't making sense?
Naruto certainly isn't the best, but it's not the worst by far. I'm curious why you have so much negativity towards it

What part represented a drastic gear change for you? Also I don't think yu yu hakusho is a comparison, since naruto is a long plot buildup to a good or evil world changing war, whereas yu yu hakusho is more a situation that presents an episodic story of different struggles. There's not larger plot besides the original situation.

@savagepain Finally someone who understands that! I hear so many people pretending DBZ is amazing and I'm like "here's the plot: op main character meets evil fighter. Evil fighter is stronger by a LOT, nearly kills him
Main character yells really loud, and now he uses the enemy as a punching bag..."

oh and i forgot, character you don't care about dies, then they bring him back to life, over and over and over.
Also they use the dragon balls to do so, but if main character dies, he goes to magical kung fu heaven, trains for a bit then just decides to go back to the living without dragon ball wishes...
