  1. Ignore the previous one, learning about Pure waves now
  2. Same buzz even if in the same outlet so going to try a UPS, think this would be fine? - https://www.amazon.co.uk/PowerWalker-2200VA-IEC-1100W-UPS/dp/B00HWWJW58/ref=sr_1_10?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1532539491&sr=1-10&keywords=ups
  3. I'll give this a shot shortly, been building IKEA stuff all day. I've had this response from M-audio
  4. Yeah everything is grounded. The speakers and pc are also plugged into separate sockets. I phoned zotac and they believe it could be interference on the speakers seeing as it doesn't happen when they're unplugged. Also if I plug just my macbook into it the buzz goes away even with the speakers plugged in

  6. I have a M-track 2x2m and both speakers plugged in via TRS leads. https://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-M-Track-Interface-Grade-Recording-Software/dp/B01FFH5YTO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532279296&sr=8-1&keywords=m+audio+m+track+2x2m
  7. Also, if I unplug my BX5's and just use the headphones the buzz goes away in the headphones.
  8. Thank you again for all this help btw. I plugged my old 7950 in and the buzz is still there but a lot less, it also does change depending on frames.
  9. Alright I will look into sound cards as well, also what type of GPU would you recommend then like the strix etc?
  10. I'll do some testing and get back to you
  11. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/zotac-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-amp!-extreme-core-ed-11gb-gddr5x-vr-ready-graphics-card-3584-core-1607mhz That's my GPU, ZOTAC is quite known I thought? Also it does change frequency depending on load of the GPU so that could explain it...
  12. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-BSV102af-SurgeCube-Surge-Protection/dp/B00OLTJSZY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1532213620&sr=8-3&keywords=surge+suppressor something like this? I have the larger ones powering my Monitor, speakers etc then my PC on its own socket but buzz still happens with it in the multiplug.

  14. Some quick experimenting resulted in less noise from USB 2.0 rather than 3/c but it's still there (used different cables as well)
  15. Tried both on three boards, same issue.
  16. So, serious question. I've got two BX5's and an M-track 2x2m and when I use my m50x's I get a horrible buzz. This changes depending on how much power my computer is using so the more power the louder the buzz (for example in games). I spoke to my electrician and he recommended I look into isolators or something for sockets in order to clean the line up. Anyone know what he exactly means as he wasn't sure of what they were called, was thinking it could be a UPS but not sure. I'm a music student so I kinda need to be able to use my audio equipment, especially due to the fact I might need a second set of speakers. I know it's not the PC, I have literally just replaced the entire system including power supply and I have also tried in multiple rooms. Any help would be seriously appreciated, James edit: also used different headphones
  17. Just curious, what monitor arm would you recommend for an x34? I love/hate the stand as it's pretty but takes up way too much space. Thanks, James
  18. The main difference is it can take a load of air in from the front side rather than a tiny hole at the top and bottom. It also allows me to mount my X62 on the top as well rather than having the cpus hot air cool the gpu
  19. I currently own a s340 elite but trying to cool a 5820k and a 1080ti isn't the best due to the airflow of the case. (about to become a 2700x) A friend of mine has decided to upgrade his to the S340 elite so giving him a deal on mine and I'm wondering what you would recommend? Currently thinking the H700i or the enthoo evolve. Which would you recommend?
  20. So basically just get a nice "cheap" one if I want a second one ?
  21. I am finally upgrading my old system due to issues with the original X99 Deluxe from asus to a 2700x and a Asus ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO, Out of curiosty, how much of a performance increase would I see if i swapped my M.2 drive with the 960 Pro. Current = https://www.scan.co.uk/products/256gb-samsung-sm951-m2-(22x80)-pcie-30-(x4)-ahci-ssd-mlc-nand-read-2150mb-s-write-1200mb-s-90k-70k-i?v=c 960 = https://www.scan.co.uk/products/512gb-samsung-960-pro-m2-pcie-nvme-48-layer-v-nand-3500mb-s-read-2100mb-s-330k-330k-iops-400tbw-reta?v=c I'm aware my board can use two M.2 Drives so I am just curious if the 960 would be a noticable jump over my previous one? Thanks! James
  22. Well not much in fairness except in a few CPU intensive games eg cities skylines and when I have to bounce files down. My point is also because it's so cheap and I'd earn a lot of that back from selling the 5820k
  23. So in a local cex they have a 6950x for £500 with a 2 year warranty. I currently have a 5820k and was wondering for gaming and music production if I should wait for the first Zen + or if I should simply go with the 6950x. Secondly I have a x62 and wonder if it would be enough to cool it? Thanks for your help, James
  24. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B011YM0OXU/ref=psdc_430579031_t2_B003WK62OS Something like this then for 4g internet? I have H+ everywhere which is still faster than my houses' internet plus i can get something like this to boost the 4g signal https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00BBKKULW/ref=psdc_430579031_t2_B003WK62OS?th=1 This would work yeah?
