Download the game to another system at his house and copy the game folder (located under the steamapps folder unless altered) to the system you want the game on.

I backup my steamapps folder and when I do a fresh OS install I simply copy the steamapps folder after installing steam, no need to download everything except updates/cloud data.

You could just use a switch, but that would require setting a static IP on the computer and the NAS. For convenience, I would recommend getting a router just so that you have DHCP. Any router with Gigabit ports will work for you - literally any router.

I recommend that you first connect the NAS somewhere with internet and check for updates on it.

    Hi Fed,

Thank you for replying. Most over that info went over my head lol. But I will keep mucking around with settings. Would be nice if they made QoS settings a little easier lol.

    Cheers!

In traffic type select User Define -TCP or UDP and put the ports or range of ports (Example 10-20) of the games you are playing.
You might need to add multiple rules one for TCP and one for UDP.
And the other setting leave them default, try doing some research on what they are or try experimenting on what works and what works the best.
    Hope that works
