  1. Well, took a brake from painting and started doing some wiring. Still waiting on some longer power and display-port cables, but I got the Ethernet cables and the ATT U-Verse box done. There's more pics on my Facebook page if your interested
  2. It's a triple 27'' I bought either at Fry's or Micro-Center don't remember. Thanks guys
  3. Well guys, I had a slight detour on this project to do another (you can search my user name on YouTube or FB if interested in my other projects). Anyway I'm moving forward on this project again. I'll be working on trim this weekend. Urishima There is noise dampening that pretty much eliminates this issue for wooden floors. You just roll that out before putting the wood/laminate down. Yes, but this is not an engineered wood, but real wood floor, and being real wood ( not click type) it has to be glued down. The gray rubber you see in the pics below is the self leveling moisture barrier, the yellow stuff id the adhesive. This system is a pain in the ass, but really does work well to keep floor temps even all year round. Thank you!
  4. I'm going out on a limb here and saying that anything is possible. If you want to, give it a try and let us know how it works out.
  5. Test the pump outside of the system without water blocks. That will tell you if the pump is working or not.
  6. I like your design, I think you did a great job. OK, yes it could have benefited from a few angled fittings but I have seen and done worst myself, cheers mate.
  7. Not L, G, B, T or Q but not a hater either.
  8. You can also leave the the system sealed and simply tilt it side to side, upside down to work the bubbles to the res (with the pump running).
  9. This is going to be glued down. I agree, floating wood flooring is very noisy. Having the urethane moisture barrier plus the glue you don't get the temp changes or noise. This is the second room we have done and really like how the first turned out.
  10. Didn't get as much done as I had hoped due to a hard day at work and an impending storm heading our way. I did however get four boxes of flooring sorted and my work tent battened down for the storm.
  11. Budget, go big of go home I'm only going to do top tier on this build.
  12. My plan is that once I get my office/game room remodeled I will finish my water tower project which I will build and test my new system on before mounting it into a case. I'm glade to here that a single 1080 Ti will suffice and by the time i get to order it, it will have matured.
  13. I'm going to glue the wood floor down to the urethane moisture barrier In above pic (gray).
  14. Like W-L said, it need to state that it is plastic safe or the plastic will get brittle and crack in short order. FWIW, WD-40 is the worst for plastic parts.
  15. I'm think about putting a 4K 48-55 TV on a full motion mount for that spot. But maybe the right side wall? OK I Photoshop one in (pic I found on the interweb), I think it would be doable.
  16. So SLI or crossfire would not be a benefit to Audio/Video, but would in gaming. Would Audio/Video be hurt by SLI/Crossfire? Prior to 1080 Ti I was contemplating a Titan due to the fact it was kinda of a good game card as well as a work card sort of a poor mans Quarto.
  17. Yes I'm looking to do top of the line cards. I have run crossfire with 2 6970's and didn't see a big improvement back then. I don't mind spending money on two cards but only if the is a good benefit.
  18. Not trying to start a flame war, I really hope that we can have an adult conversation about the pros and cons of the top GPU's. I'm also looking for first hand experience rather than reviews! Here is a look at what I plan on doing with my new GPU: 1. Adobe Audio/Video/Graphics 2. Gaming w/ up to 3 monitors. Not looking for 4K and or 3 way, I might go 2 way if I find it to be beneficial.
  19. Thank you, I can't wait til I can finally get the computers and electronic equipment back in.
  20. Didn't like the way the bottom shelf looked so I sanded both down and repainted. Filled some nail holes and repaint of the walls. Grouted the ends for the desk. Have a sense of accomplishment now that I have the moisture barrier (gray) down.
  21. If you can run the pump in a closed loop w/o any blocks (test loop) to see if it will pump, it might just be air-locked.
  22. If you were to be in the market for a new top of the line card which one would you buy AMD or Nvidia?
  23. Will AMD bet out Intel with their new CPU's? What do you think?
