Well classes aren't really a thing anymore first off.

You need to change the subnet mask on all devices, and the dhcp server.

How are devices bookmarked? they should still work if the same ip/hostname is used.

Also, they are reserved through the DHCP

How many devices do you have that you've exhausted an IP block? You should be able to have up to 254 IPs before you need to worry.

Close to that number, its for the company I work for, we are expanding very quickly, and we are getting to the point where printers/computers/cellphones/ect ect are getting close to maxing out the IP block, so were looking to fix that problem before it becomes a large one.

I'm referencing (B= 255.255.0.0) (C=255.255.255.0) this is the way I was taught, if its different now is there a place i can go to learn newer terminology?

  3. I’m in the market for a new pair of ear buds, after I lost my pair of Jabra Elite 65T’s at the Atlanta airport a year ago. I loved them and would buy another pair, but I figured I would get your suggestions first before I spent the money. To be noted, I’m not the most delicate person, so a super fragile pair is not really what I have in mind. Thanks for any suggestions.

You can just format the hdd, no reason to get a new hdd.

Did you format the disk in disk management?

I could format the drive, but it’s for another person and reformatting would require the loss of all the information I have on the drive.

You could always remove the HDD from the old system, buy an enclosure for it and then attach it as a USB drive. This should work, provided the disk isn't encrypted.

Can you just plug the hdd from thta system into your desktop? It should just be a sata drive

It should show os info in the system information.

Unfortunately, I’m going from an old tower to a laptop, so that’s not possible

Just drag them to the drive in the file manager.

ive tried that, but it’s set them up to be transferred, it does not actually transfer them.

  7. Afternoon all,

I’m trying to transfer a whole bunch of files(picture, other things ect) from my grandparents old tower to an external HDD so they can be transferred to a new computer, however the files are set up as “ready for transfer” however I don’t know how to transfer them. It seems like it wants me to use something called “ groove” but that seems way to complicated, any ideas?

  8. I looking to buy a new pair of pads for a friend of mine who has a pair of Beats, but the only pads I can find are from wicked cushions. I wanted to pick up a pair of thick leather pads, because he likes bass.  Do any of y'all know where i could find something like that, or have suggestions otherwise?

  9. I purchased a brand new Asus Ac-56 PCI-E wifiadapter, but I can not get it to work for the life of me. I have tried the usual, reseting the computer, updating windows/drivers, reseting the internet both on and off my computer, changed antennas, the works. It regesters a full connection, but wont open any website. Any advice would be greatly appreceaited.

you definitely have a gpu yes?(idk how it would have worked anyway its just a troubleshooting question, the 1600x doesnt have an igpu), make sure youre using the display outputs on the gpu

are there any signs that the pc is turning on or is there just no display?

try changing ram and ram slots, and reseating power cables etc

maybe take it in to a local computer shop to see if they can figure out anything

Yes I deffedently have a GPU,  and the whole system starts running, but its jut not displaying anything

  11. One morning I woke up and turned on my PC to find that It would not display to my monitor. I trouble shot everything in the book, new cords, switching ports, reseting the ram/CMOS ECT.  Nothing I did made the PC work, my monitor even continues to go to sleep because its not even getting a signal from the PC. I sent my MOBO to ASUS under RMA and they sent me back a new one, but when I put everything back together I had the same problem. The only thing I can think now is that the CPU is dead. If you have any ideas on what I can try before I call AMD and send in my CPU for warranty, please let me know.

PS; It's a Ryzen 5 1600X Never overclocked, purchased brand new.

  12. Good Evening Gents/Ladys,

A friend of mine was just hired into an engineering firm and is trying to set up his computer. He was given a Lenovo E580 8Gb RAM, I5 7200U, Intel Hd620 IGC.  Moneys not an object. I just want to know what the highest resoloution monitors it can run( without sounding like an F15's afterburners) and how many It can run.

    Thanks
