ive seen a massive in crease in fps with my 7970 ultra was normally 45-65 with mantle - 60-110 fps it never dropped  below 60 fps  i love it 

What i benchmarked, i noticed that mantle is awesome even on single GPU (290) i had around 30% more in avg FPS, we just need to hope that Mantle will come to Nvidia.

if your trying to stay in a budget i would go with the FX 83xx/9590 series of processors. there good for gaming/streaming and not bad for rendering. (pistol uses them for rendering and streaming.

That is EXACTLY how you should conduct yourself around these parts. There are no sticklers in this bunch, just pure unadulterated shitheads. Cocaine, hardware, and adrenaline junkies. 
 
Do yourself a favor though, wear a condom. 

I haven't bench marked specifically, and can't be troubled to do so simply because a million other people are going to do the work for me, but I no longer drop below 60 frames with the ultra preset ( max everything ). I range from 80 to 110, tested on golmud and locker. 
 
So yea, probably within that margin of 10% or above. Pretty great honestly.

I was able to bring up my refresh rate to 75hz and what a difference! Firstly, my entire desktop just looks more polished and fluid. I have a 120hz panel in my living room and I'll say the fluidity is almost on par with it. I really can't tell the difference between the two. I especially noticed this when gaming or watching movies, i'm thoroughly, pleasantly surprised. 
 
I honestly have no desire to upgrade my monitor now, and I would say that this increase has affected my gaming performance in a positive way. My mouse movements are smoother and I'm even able to pick targets out faster. Basically, all of you trapped in the 60hz cesspool need to attempt the overclock. You'll be very happy you did.

I just used Linu's tutorial and my PA248Q seems to run fine at 75Hz. I am going to play some games now.
