  1. I have just built a new PC. The only part that was not brand new was my SSD I moved from an old system. I am getting a black screen when windows automatically finds the video drivers. I have used DDU, I have uninstalled the driver's from device manager. I have attempted to update through GeForce experience. I have reset windows and still having the same issue. There is connection to the video card as the screen is lit up it's just black. I am able to boot into safe mode and use as a basic display adaptor without issues with the video. It appears to only happen once windows finds the driver or if I install the driver. I placed the SSD in my old system and it loaded into it without issue. Currently I did a windows reset to see if that would fix the issue but once it went to do the install it's the same issue. Going to leave it for a while to make sure it goes through before powering off. System spec: I5-10400f 2x8gb ddr4 2666mhz Msi H510i pro wifi motherboard Gtx 1660 ti Samsung Evo 850 500gb
  2. It is defaulting to onboard video with the r9 270 installed. I verified it was set to display from pcie in bios. Is there a fix or is the card just randomly dead?
  3. Yea have the 6pin connected. I did check the bios and it is set to pcie. I don't have an HDMI on the monitor in using but I plugged in an HD 7570 and it booted right up
  4. I had an r9 270 in my b150m-itx motherboard for a month or so and worked like a charm. I wanted to test it in a couple of dell motherboards to see if it would work so I can sell a budget system. (It didn't work). When I put it back in the b150 motherboard it wouldn't display anything. The fans spin and looks like it's running like normal. The keyboards light flash on boot and the num lock stays solid and the hdd activity light is flashing. It's loading into the sdd but still no display. Put in an HD 7570 just to test and it displayed right away. Can't think of any reason why it would just stop displaying. Tried both dvi ports (all I have at the moment) and nothing. Looking to see if anyone knows of anything I could test?
  5. Alright that would make sense. I thought the g4560 was a skylake cpu. Thanks for the info
  6. I have bought a few motherboards off of eBay to build a new system. When the motherboards came in neither system would post. I tried 2 different cpus, 2 sticks of ram, 2 power supplies, 3 motherboards, onboard graphics and dedicated video card. The cpu fan ramps up like normal for a few seconds and the systems reboots itself. The 2nd boot it's stays running but no display. Any other options i could try? Mobo: asrock h110-m DGS, (2) asrock b150m-itx Cpu: Pentium g4560, Celeron g3930 Ram: 8gb hynix ddr4, 4gb crucial ddr4 Psu: 300w generic dell psu, 300w apevia itx
  7. My system will randomly (after seconds or hours) do likena soft "crash" where the display, keyboard, and mouse loses connection but the system remains on what seems like a low powered or idle mode. I have not found a way to get out of it without doing a hard reset. I have tried multiple psus and gpus (thought the video card was bad when lost display) same issues occur. Ryzen 7 1700x 16gb ram Rx 480/ rx 570 450w/600w psu
  8. Yes i uninstalled then reinstalled the video drivers
  9. I and trying to troubleshoot an issue for my buddy. He bought a cyberpower pc off amazon and lately its been "crashing" randomly. It will say lose its signal to the monitor but the system will remain on and running. Only way to fix this issue i have seen is to hard reset. I have tried another power supply, checked for a bios update, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. Still getting the "crashing". It will happen in game or idle on the desktop. Seems to be completely random. The system seems to ramp down after the "crash" but cpu and gpu fans are still spinning. Wondering if anyone else had this issue or has heard of it. System specs: Ryzen 7 1700x 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4 Asrock AB350m Pro4 450 evga bronze power supply ( tried thermaltake 600w gold psu)
  10. Found the issue. This needed to be added to uefi boot option. I have never done it before so here is for anyone who is having a similar issue.
  11. I have a 500gb samsung evo for a games/benchmarks drive. For some reason I cant get it to boot on some older hardware. I have tried on 775 and 1155 motherboards. Some work and others don't. Looking for different ideas or settings in the bios that i would need to adjust for it to boot. Windows 10 is installed on the drive and it is recognized in bios but does not load. Any advise is greatly appriciated.
  12. No problem with any other cards in my system. I was planning on seeing about them exchanging just thinking if back up plans or should just start looking for a new card haha
