  1. I'll have to check some of the options out, surprised so many PSUs have problems, especially with how prolific the 3000 series has been so far. Either way I'll be splurging on a new card so I might as well grab a new PSU if my G3 doesn't work.
  2. I guess I just got unfortunate lol. The way the damage is located leads me to believe it wasn't a PSU issue, although the chance of it being so is still there. Also never heard of the G3 issues with the 3080... that might not be fun lmao. Edit: Didn't see your edit before I posted. From my knowledge, that area is exclusively power related, so It's possible the power regulation went FUBAR. If it were PSU related I feel the capacitors by the power cables would have blown, but that's just my read on the issue.
  3. Yeah I wasn't expecting to fix it, looks power related. The only thing I'm worried about is if the PSU was the culprit, although it is quite newer to the GPU.
  4. My EVGA GTX 1070 FTW decided to bite the dust today and caught fire. I wanted to post here just to make sure if there was anything I could do and what could have happened to it. I've had zero problems with it for the past 5 years of use, but obviously, heavy utilization can add up. I've attached photos of the affected areas here: https://imgur.com/a/KrfLIEd This came out of nowhere while playing CS:GO, not sure if it's relevant but I did some heavy video rendering yesterday. Luckily my chipset wasn't touched, and I also have a relatively new (Feb. 2021) EVGA G3 850 W PSU. Hopefully I can find a new 3080 without selling a kidney. Thanks for any help!
  5. Just turned it off. Hopefully this works.
  6. Well, I guess the best thing to do is wait for an official account of the problem by Intel (Because it is only happening to their CPUs), and disable my overclock. Ill try contacting intel support, see if that works.
  7. Can you get on to your desktop, or is your computer locked up?
  8. Just turned it down to 4.2 and 1.250 Voltage (Hopefully this works)
  9. Hello, For about a month now I have been getting a BOSD error in what seems to be times where my CPU is at max load. My Build: i5-4690K @ 4.5GHz Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 16GB DDR3-1866 MSI Z97S SLI PLUS (Discontinued) NZXT Kraken X31 69.5 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler EVGA GTX 1070 FTW Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Power Supply All drivers are up to date, I have Windows 10, and this has been really bothering me. If it has anything to do with my issue, here is some extra information: I have Start for Windows 10 I have Wallpaper Engine I have a custom theme installed on my computer Anyway, if there is any help you can provide me with, thank you.
  10. The Tacomputer is my personal gaming rig, and I love it. First built it around February 2015 and loved it ever since. It was my introduction to the PC Master Race and is simply incredible. I have updated it quite a bit to what it is now. Building this computer also kick-started a small PC Building company I started about a year ago. Ever since then, I have constantly thought of that as a true profession for me. I got a new setup when I moved house, which is what you see in the pictures below. And finally, thank you to all the YouTube channels that helped me pursue my ultimate dream setup. 11. Yes, my 60C is under load, I usually average 40C. The problem is that I have no idea what happened in November, or if it even started in November. Even CS:GO uses very high CPU usage. My PC specs are listed here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bxYXVY This problem just started gradually over time and I have not even noticed it until this past month.
  12. At idle the CPU is fine, but when playing games I would usually run 90+ Usage, when it was working fine and easily playing the game about 3 months ago.
  13. I did just that, but the CPU Usage is still very high, even after re-applying my overclock.
  14. My Temps are at a solid 60 degrees C and have overclocked it to 4.2 GHz but is still running like crap...
  15. Hey, I'm usually good with computers but this has me stumped. My i5-4690K has been recently doing piss-poor performance when trying to play a game or even watching a YouTube Video. My CPU usage tanks whenever multitasking (i.e. Playing Rainbow Six Siege and Watching Linus Tech Tips). Before around November, this problem would never happen. My Graphics card isn't even that bad (GTX 960) and is about to buy a new 1070 soon. I don't know what has been happening lately, and hopefully you can help. -Tyler
