  1. Yes, the monitor does support 1080p HDMI signals from the camera. I also enabled Control over HDMI but not sure if that will make any difference.
  2. Welp, I just plugged the monitor in to try and it was working It just seems really hit or miss. I have control over HDMI enabled.
  3. I use a Viltrox DC-70, and what do you mean by verifying it in the settings?
  4. Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem, or has any suggestions on what to do. My Canon 760D's HDMI port is really intermittent and can't output to my monitor like 95% of the time. I have got it working a few times by messing around and plugging it in at different times and trail and error, but I have just come to use my monitor again and for the life of me can't seem to get it working. The monitor just says "No HDMI Signal".. The port looks fine on the camera and I have blown it with an air can to make sure it is clean. I have also tried several cables so it's not the cable. The monitor also works fine with my Sony camera so it's not the monitor.
  5. Large sheets of vinyl skins make good backgrounds. Also just find fairy lights and just experiment with ornaments and house objects to find what looks good. As for camera movements just experiment and always record more b-roll than you need!
  6. Look for CCTV C-mount lenses. They are produced today so can be bought new off Ebay. They are dirt cheap, around $20 and can produce some really interesting cinematic footage. Here is a video explaining them - They might work with Canon APS-C sensors with the right adapter (but you might have to crop a slight bit in post to reduce the vignetting). Another option is searching for Canon lenses that have broken autofocus(MF only) are cheaper.
  7. If it was sold by Amazon, then either the YouTuber is doing it for views (unlikely because the Amazon box tape was still sealed) or someone working at Amazon warehouse just stole the cameras and put rocks in there. Edit: never mind, the box wasn't sealed, this makes me think he's just doing it for views..
  8. I just bought a Sony a6300, and already had lots of canon lenses and was really worried the adaptors wouldn't be very good, but I decided to get a Sigma MC-11, after reading lots of good reviews. I was really pleasantly surprised at how well it works and the speed of it. It works great on my Canon 50mm 1.4 USM and also great on my Sigma 17-50 f2.8. It focuses fine on 99% of things. Here is a great video testing loads of canon lenses with the Sony a7 + MC-11
  9. No but with good lenses, bigger sensor and lower noise a DSLR should look better
  10. Yes, for vlogging the SE or a GoPro would be a good idea, although I agree for other styles a dedicated camera would be better in every way over an iPhone. And there are some good 4K cameras in that price range!
  11. The iPhone SE records 4K, and the T6 only records 1080p max. So the iPhone's video might look crisper, However the T6 has many advantages over the SE, including being way way better in low light, control over depth of field, manual control over shutter speed and better looking colours. Also the ability to shoot with a flat colour profile for easier colour grading. Not to mention lens options for zooms etc.
  12. I have a Sony a6300, and want to use my Poweradd battery bank to charge it through USB while using it, but the max output on the poweradd is 3.4 Amps. Is this too much or dangerous to use, or will the camera just draw what it needs? Thanks
  13. The cheaper field monitors don't support 4k input, the build quality is not great and they don't have many assist features. Whereas more expensive monitors have better build and mounting quality, and have more features like touchscreens and lots of assistive features like focus peaking, false colour and the ability to apply LUTs
