  1. Any recommendations on a good IPS 1440p 144hz Monitor at a decent price? I plan on running it with a 2080.
  2. Good idea w the 2700 and ram equivalent, il do that. For the storage I already have a full 3tb HDD (which i am passing along to a family member) so i need more than 4tb. I also play a large variety of games on the regular is why I had the standalone 2tb SSD for my use. Also im not a fan of swapping games between drives all the time (the cost of the 2tb SSD is worth it for me). Are there any models that could be cheaper maybe that have similar performance/size?
  3. Yeah i have a 2.5 version, i didnt know they made m.2's in the same. Thanks!
  4. Any suggestion on a good m.2 sata model? 250ish gb
  5. Thoughts on the HDD, ram (corsair vengeance, not necessarily the gb but the actual brand/product line) and Case selection?
  6. Isnt NVme worth it for OS, as it has better latency than Sata? the 2tb is SATA
  7. Update I ended up getting the 2060, as i got a decent price for one.
  8. So in anticipation for the Ryzen 3000 launch I am starting to peice together parts that I might be interested in. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on my list of parts that I have put together, to either increase performance, make it look nicer, or decrease price. I have a few questions regarding my parts. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Theonlyden/saved/HhVtgs I have put in a 2600x and a x470 mobo, to approximate pricing similar to what i would spend when the 3000 series release (subject to change as this is being used as an estimate). Use Case: Primarily gaming and I want to start to stream, I have included a 250g SSD NVMe (I think..?) for my OS, a 2tb for games library, and then a 6tb for mass video storage. Are there any improvement or price adjustments that can be made here that will wont effect my user experience in a negative way? Ram: 32GB, should I reduce this to 16? I tend to prefer to be ahead of the curve in RAM gb adoption as I pass my computer along to other family, also is the model of RAM i selected a good one? Case: H500P (would get the Gun Metal Version over the white however). I believe this has good top radiator support. One thing I am worried about regarding the case is drive bays, as I will most likely be moving a few SSDs from an older PC, however this is TBD. Any thoughts on this case overall for building in (i am an fairly inexperienced PC builder)? Note: I already Own the RTX 2060 and the CPU cooler listed in here as they are in my current build and will be transferred over. I intended to OC this new build. Please let me know what you think Overall should I make adjustments to the build? Thanks *Edit* Budget is flexible, but I am looking for around $1500 CAD if I can
  9. yes yes that's what i meant, the 2060 will be bottlenecked by it. But to what degree, I plan on upgrading the rest of the system sometime late this year.
  10. 2060 will bottleneck a 4670k?
  11. I have 144hz monitors, anything above 80 on current games is ideal for me tho.
  12. is the 580 better than the 2060?
  13. Should I pair a RTX2060 or GTX1660Ti with my i5 4670k @4.3ghz, 16g ram? Edit: Is the extra money worth the increase in performance?
  14. Is a 1060 worth $200 Canadian? for A Zotac AMP, never mined on or OC'D. As i have the potential to buy one for this price. Thanks
  15. Yeah i was looking at that! I was just not sure if it was worth upgrading now or waiting till late next year to upgrade to a whole new system (and hopefully the RTX 21xx series)
  16. I currently have 16gb of DDR3 1333 memory - on a i5-4670k with a gtx 770 (upgrading this soon most likely to a 1060). How much is the slow memory affecting gaming and other system speeds? Would it be worth upgrading to a faster kit?
  17. 1080p with a 144hz refresh rate!
  18. I have a GTX 770 2gb currently, I was wondering if a 1060 6gb would be a good upgrade due to boxing day sales in Canada. I currently have a i5-4670k overclocked. Should I upgrade or should I wait to replace the whole system late next year? Edit** 1080p with a 144hz monitor Thanks!
  19. Does NVME and SATA have different requirements for compatibility besides just the m.2 for factor. Like if a motherboard supports M.2 does it alwasy support NVME?
  20. is there a difference between NVME and sata for compatibility tho?
  21. 1000ish (willing to reduce parts or increase budget depending) Canadian $. Zotac card is going for $274 on newegg right now.
  22. Hi I am looking to put together a build for my father (which can do some gaming), he also wants to have four monitors for stock trading. Specs will be over what he needs to allow the system to last a bit longer. I was wondering if the Gigabyte - B450 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard support NVME m.2 storage drives? Also, beyond this I was wondering if you had any tips or comments for the parts listed below (or compatibility issues). AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor Stock cooler - not planning on overclocking Gigabyte - B450 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard 16 GB of memory (have to check the qualified list for a compatible version, any suggestions??) was thinking 3200 speed. Zotac - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB Mini Video Card Storage 1TB of SSD, NVME or SATA? CASE and PSU TBD - any suggestions? Thanks for your help
