  1. See if you can try the card in another computer all together to rule out the gpus as an issue all togeather.
  2. That's not right at all. You must be looking at the wrong place cause you can get a 1080ti for 1000. Idd know cause I live in Canada.
  3. Did you say that you have tried another card on that computer?
  4. Device manager. Then go right click on the monitor and search for driver updates. Imm not at my computer right now so I can't give you any more accurate guidance but I will update you later.
  5. I have a 1070 strix and it's great. Temps rarely pass 60 on load and it looks great.
  6. I have a 6600k with a 1070 and I am just straddling the line, meaning I defiantly wouldn't get a 1080 for concerns of bottle neck. If anything the 960 would probably be holding the system back a bit. Idd look at a 970 if possible because that's probably the lowest for solid performance in modern games.
  7. It shouldn't matter. The nvidia drivers are shouldn't interact with the card. Just install the new one and download AMD drivers.
  8. Ya it sounds like the card is having problems. That or its software. Idd try to update the monitors drivers and see if you can try it with another graphics card installed (try to borrow a friend's). This will rule out software. I know this is kind of a hard step to take but i can't see any other way to rule hardware out of the question.
  9. I think that sounds like a port problem. Try to use another port on the gpu or try onboard graphics to make sure that it's a hardware issue and not a software one. Also try to reseat the card.
  10. 1060, 980, or even a 580 if the prices are down enough
  11. I would still keep a fire extinguisher near by for a while tho. You never know....
  12. I don't agree. I have a 1070 strix for gaming but I have done some mining on it. With a little tuning I push a easy 30MH/s on 65% power target.you can see that my average is not quite up there yet because I haven't mined at all today but the reported hash says it all.
  13. It means that the gpu is being limited by the CPU. I said it wasn't technically being bottle necked because it only happened in applications that affected the CPU heavily and that the gpu doesn't have to work hard in anyway. I ment to say that that setup may not be best for a 1070 but it is still the best choice regardless
  14. I have a 1070 and I run easy 144hz 1080p in any game (ecept arma 3) on medium-ultra settings. My CPU is a 6600k oc to 4.7ghz. Idd say get a 1070 but my only concern is that it's not a great match for your CPU. Idd call it a bottle neck but it technically isn't... in some games my CPU doesn't bottle neck but rather limits the performance in heavy CPU games including, believe it or not, minecraft with some shaders installed. Dispite that I wouldn't say not to get a 1070 because they are definitely the best card for your use (unless you look at a better psu for vega). I play pubg, gta 5, csgo and it all runs great on my setup. In conclusion, get the 1070 and look at upgrading your CPU in the future. In the time being that CPU will not bottle neck your GPU preformance but it could improve your experience to upgrade. A 600w is plenty for a 1070 so I wouldn't be to concerned unless you look at vega (in which case you would be looking at upgrading a psu, gpu and CPU)
  15. this isn't relay a review product but... Gavin shouted you out Linus! Will you answer the call
  16. I can gaurente that every single who saw this video immediately saw a Linus colab coming
  17. From what I understand the internals, barrel, barrel shroud/rails (or whatever you call it), and the bar that the stock is on is metal. The outside of the gun, handle, and stock is polymer. I've read some reviews and from what I know the mag is metal and quite high quality.
  18. Ya thanks for the offer. I'll think about it but imm broke rn so I probably won't buy it until after Christmas. Hopefully my grandparents are generous this Christmas ?
  19. Imm kinda gettin interisted in airsoft so I lined up a nice setup with a G&G gr15, vest, bag, batteries and charger. Only one thing... extra mags. The gun may ship with 1 high cap mag but where is the realism without at least 22(JK I need 2). In wanted to get the tan moddleb of the gun because it looks cooler however I can't seam to find any web sight that will ship the matching tan magazines to Canada. This is odd because the gun and all things related ship to Canada just fine including non matching black mags. This is bothering me cause I NEED matching stuffs. Is there any way to have the matching mags shipped to the border (or as far as they can go) and have it handed off to another courier to bring it up. If so how do I set this up. Otherwise do you guys know where I can find this magazine from a web sight that ships to or in Canada (.ca websites are the way to go). I'll list the websight I want to get the gun from and where I have found a matching mag. I do want this spesifc mag because of its quality and decent price. Gun: https://www.replicaairguns.ca/g-and-g-raider-l-m4-aeg-airsoft-rifle Mag: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003NDZTTI/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1502486168&sr=8-16&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=airsoft+tan+m4+magazine (not found on the .ca amazon for some reason) Thanks
  20. Try to default the nvidia control panel settings
  21. For your price range l, ya. Get a ryzen 5. Honestly I don't care about support. I donesnt matter how much support there is because AMD is intitled to iron out any major issues with their new chips anyway (or else they will probably get a lot of hate). Go with the 1600x (bit better than the 1600 and better that the I5) and get the 1080. But don't take my word for it. Do some more reaserch and find out for sure if the 1080 will be fine on the 1600x. I think it will be but imm still a little skeptical. Remember that I am kinda a intel fan boy but I definitely like where AMD has gon with this generation.
  22. If I were you I would ask around a bit about that. Imm not sure if the 1600 would be able to handle the 1080ti's power without bottle neck. In my experience I know that my 6600k (over clock at 4.7) actually is a bottle neck in some cases, including (believe it or not) minecraft with Max render and some shaders. And that is with a 1070. I know that the Ryzen has been shown better than many I5s in many cases but I still don't think it could handle a 1080 ti. The furthest I would go is the 1080 because the price is a lot more reasonable (they weren't efected by ethereum because they are crappy miners) and its all that chip should be able to handle.
