  1. will high 70s low 80's affect the lifespan of the chip?
  2. I've overclocked my CPU to 4.8Ghz at around 1.28V and my temperatures are hovering at low to mid 80's Is this ok or should I bring the overclock and voltage down a notch?
  3. I'ts running good, I overclocked at 4.8Ghz, but I'm getting mid to low 80C on my CPU... idk if thats very good.
  4. I see. What's the max voltage you would recommend to maintain everything stable and safe?
  5. How lucky would I have to be for a stable 5.0Ghz overclock on the Max8 Hero with the 7700k?
  6. I believe they're both rated at 91W. But, like I said, even though the performance increase may be negligible, its still a "boost" for the basically the same price.
  7. It was basically the same price as the 6700k, and it clocks higher at equal tdp and power, so I wouldnt say it's completely a waste. it can probably also overclock higher, so for the same price, why downgrade? I'm just worried I wont be able to use it at all when the rest of my build gets here.
  8. I impulsively bought the I7 7700k for my new build along with an Asus Maximus VIII Hero motherboard. I just realized they might not be compatible without updated BIOS... Is it possible to update the BIOS on this Mobo without without a Skylake processor? can I fix this?
  9. I think thats the ram I'm going for to avoid issues, and I really like the way this cooler looks and the performance is on par with AIOs.

  12. I have the 27" version 1440 and 144hz. The viewing angles really are not an issue. I dont see how you would be sitting at a position so awkward as to ruin the experience. that being said, if you're not properly aligned, it is quite noticeable.
  13. Yeah, I would change the ram to a lower profile HyperX or something if i went with the air cooling opiton.
  14. I was trying to go with a black and white build lol. I was having trouble finding a mobo to fit the theme though.
