  1. no point in my getting ddr5. thats goingf to be way too expensive. the whole point of this PC is to have a very good computer that will last me several years. this PC is going to do that. i dont need ddr5 i dont care about it
  2. well i want my PC to look good and I am going to see it because it's going to be on top. well the fans are also good and spin fast and rgb is nice. i would get teh corsair ones but the black ones are only 1500rpm and the white ones are 2200rpm. i dont want white fans. like i said i want the aio because it looks much better than a giant air cooler board is ight. i bought my current PC for performance > looks and now im going for both performance and looks. whats the problem with that? it's my money that i worked for that i saved. its what makes me happy and thats all that matters to me. the whole point of this post is for me to ask if ill be okay when i order all the aprts. i dont want to order everything and be like oh im missing X port on Y thing. i dont know i just want it to work when i get all my parts. and im not getting mobo for looks i like what it offers. it has a single 2.5gbps internet port and three m2s and the other extra stuff.
  3. hmm maybe im using the futureproof word wrong. what i mean by future proof is that i dont need ot upgrade my PC at all for several years and id be able to run games at max quality and get insane amount of frames on every game. i have a 1070 right now and im struggling a bit. i can for sure play any game with my 1070 but i cant even maintain 144 frames on a bunch of games even at the lowest quality possible
  4. i want the AIO because i can use custom image on tehre. i want my PC to look good as well. the ram i chose because i wanted at least 3600mhz cl16 32gb total and RGB case fans i like the RGB on them and they spin pretty quick. SSD: probably over kill as ik games dont use those speeds just yet but it would be great for my OS and for the future im planning to overclock gpu / cpu im not 100% sure on ram as i have no idea how to do it
  5. ive had the 1070 since 2016 and wanted to go all out on a PC by getting the best possible specs. i already have the 5950x and 3080ti. im sure ill be able to keep my system longer than 5 years. i play competitively and want the least amount of input lag by having more frames and some games i want o be able to run ultra settings without my frames dipping / struggling. even if im not future proofing im assuming this PC will remain extremely good for several more years than my current build.
  6. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Nftz4d I am basically future proofing and going above and beyond. I just want to know if these parts will all fit and work. for the CPU cooler i plan to remove those fans and use those 3 rgb fans but im not sure if they fit or not? should i use my AIO for exhaust or intake? any advice?
  7. so my current M2 SSD has windows 10, can i just take this out, put it in a brand new PC that hasnt been used and make it boot into that m2 SSD and use my old windows 10 on my new PC? does it work like that? am i forced to start "fresh" if i get a new windows?
  8. i have the r7450 is it worth getting the netduma r2 when it comes to gaming? i really like the options that DUMA OS has
  9. Regarding the PCI 3.0 and 4.0 Slot, the performance impact is typically less than a few percents going from a x16 PCIe 4.0 to x16 PCIe 3.0. CPU selection often has a larger impact on performance. We look forward to new platform that can fully take advantage of Gen4 capabilities for potential increases. Regarding specific model, we recommend using fast CPU and Intel i9-10900K is one of the examples of high-end CPU, you can go with fast or high-end CPU for better performance. The system would perform better with a CPU and GPU that are closely matched in performance capability. To ensure a balanced build, your CPU and GPU should be more than just compatible, they should be complementary. that is what they said what motherboard should i get for a 10900k?
  10. yeah i just learned that, that guy was clueless... i still want to get a i9 though i dont want to get a ryzen. would motherboard would u recommend?
  11. i contacted nvidia they said they recommend a i9 10900k but where do i find a LGA 1200 motherboard with PCI-E gen 4?
  12. theres a guy who used a intel with the 3000 series and it worked
  13. Hello everyone. I am planning to upgrade my computer and need assistance in picking out parts. This is my current PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HDk2p8 Before I begin I want to explain why I want to upgrade. I want to run my games in that juicy max quality I also want that "competitive advantage" (ill explain later) This is the current new up I created on PC part picker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rWF6TC (ignore gpu its just a placeholder for 3080) I am planning to purchase a RTX 3080 so I need help with picking the right parts and picking compatible parts, before I begin I want to explain what parts am I keeping from my previous computer. I am keeping the extra fans and putting them in the new computer. I am keeping the CPU cooler (Why? My rooms is usually super cold so I get pretty low temps because of that, even during heavy load, 60c max) I am keeping the storage (SSD's, HDD, and the M.2) What do I want my new PC to do? I want to be able to play at 1440p 144hz @ 1ms (in max quality) I play competitive FPS games so that means I usually run the lowest quality settings at uncapped FPS to gain the least amount of input lag. As for non competitive games / single player games I would like to run them at max quality. GPU - RTX 3080 CPU - i9 9900k or 10900k (cant find the 10900k anywhere without it being over priced) Ram - I am not extremely knowledgeable on RAM but I do want to have at least DDR4-3600 @ 32gb. I don't know if having four 8gb @ 3600 is better than two 16gb @ 3600 Do I plan to upgrade higher than 32gb? I don't think so? but if the option is there for the future I don't mind. Don't care if it has RGB or not. Budget For Ram: $200 Motherboard - I am not sure what I really want for a motherboard. I want to be able to use my previous stuff that I explained above, cpu cooler,fans,storage.. I just want it to work and be good? Also if it has those "one click overclocks" that would be neat as my current MB does that for my CPU. I don't care for RGB on the motherboard Budget for Motherboard: $200 (if $200 is too low for what I want to run let me know and explain why please) PSU - I have no idea on PSU stuff. I don't know what I need, why I need it what makes other PSUs better than others. I have no knowledge in them but I just want something that will work with my current set up and that doesn't suck. Budget for PSU: not sure. Monitor - I want at least to get a 1440p 144hz @ 1ms I am not sure on what inches I want to get. I need a fast response rate, good color, no motion blur (if possible) Just want a good monitor when it comes to competitive FPS games (need all that advantage xd) I also don't care about the "gsync freesync" stuff as I usually just uncap my FPS for competitive games for lower input lag.. Budget: $300 - $500 Also for the motherboard in that list. They have this weird chunky thing by the exhaust fans and I am worried my CPU cooler wont fit so yeah.. I don't really want a different CPU cooler since the current one I have works perfectly fine. My new PC case will have 3 intake fans in the front, 2 exhaust fans on top and 1 exhaust fan in the back. My new PC case will have more airflow and more fans for air to come in. My current PC has two intake fans in the front, 1 exhaust on top and 1 exhaust in the back. My room is generally very cold (AC on during summer) and during winter I have my window open, i love the cold :) but this also helps keep my temps down during heavy load.
  14. need help! 1080p prefer 60hz+ 22inch+ any recommends
  15. bump~ still need help. cant even run my games anymore. they are all choppy.
  16. I have the same issue with a gtx 1070 and a i7 6700k
  17. theres people with shittier specs than me. i5, gtx 970, shittier PSU and getting more performance.
  18. upgrade the GPU? its a gtx 1070. i dropped $400 on it. it shouldnt have any problems. whats wrong with the PSU its proving enough watts for my build
  19. bump~~ anyone know why im getting bad fps in my games? i dont think its the GPU but it has to be something
