  1. Yes i would buy the same brand and model number. This is the 16 gig kit i would buy: corsair vengeance led cmu16gx4m2c3200c16 Currently i have 2 sticks of this kit installed: corsair vengeance led cmu32gx4m4d3200c16
  2. Hey guys, I recently build my new gaming/workstation rig which I mainly use for gaming and virtualization. Because ram prices are ridiculously high these days I got mine from a guy who had bought a 32 gig set and only needed 16 gigs, so i bought 16 gigs from him (2 sticks). Now my question is if i can add another 16 gigs from a 16 gig set and combine this with the already installed 16 gigs from the 32 gig set. I don't know if this is relevant but the cpu is a Ryzen 7 1700.
  3. Thanks for the tip! And about the desktop idea, i don't have a desktop so that would not work for me. But thanks anyway!?
  4. Thanks! I'm going to try the 8GB stick. I will let you know how it went!
  5. Hello everyone! I'm new here so if this topic isn't correct or annything I'm sorry! So my problem: I'm a student system ICT in Belgium. I have a course with a lot of virtualization involved. I can run 2 windows machines on my laptop with no problem. But when I want to run an extra linux machine or a windows or whatever it al freezes because my ram is full. Now the question: I have an Asus k555 laptop, he has a total of 8GB of ram, i would like to add more but the problem is there is only one removable ram stick. It looks like the other 4GB is soldered directly on the motherboard. Can i just replace the 4GB stick with a 8GB or 16GB stick or is this going to create problems with the ram already on the board?
