  1. How many times are new GPU's coming out. Less then 2 in a year. Why risk your credibility for such a low reward.
  2. Any journalist who respects journalism or any reviewer who is honest will not sign this NDA. No matter what. But isf they do, everyone knows to who their soul is sold to.
  3. Nvidia is trying to shut everyone up. This is not an NDA, you only agree to be a happy news channel for Nvidia.
  4. Your title isn't correct. You don't same 8x, but will the amount of lanes go down to 8. And no, it will not. You will get the full 16 lanes for your GPU and 4 lanes for the SSD since there are more than enough lanes.
  5. So Reuters is saying that EagleTree Capital is in advanced discussions to acquire Corsair Components for more than 500 million dollars. Neither party's are willing to comment on this. Reuters is assuming that Corsair is so interesting because of the growing game market. I think that is a right assumption. Opinion: I have mixed feelings about this ( and to make clear this is not a confirmation of the sell). Corsair is led by the founder. This guy started with nothing and made the company big because of his passion. In my eyes this is also shown in their product and on how they listen to the community. But in order to grow they have to make acquisitions. This can be done by a private equity firm. A private equity wants profit, a lot of profit. They just want money and they don't care about branding most of the time. Sometimes they do because of the extra profit it brings with it when you try to sell the company. So in the end, Corsair will be known for gaming gear, but will it be know in a more positive or negative way? So I have a biased opinion, what do you guys think about it. source: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-corsair-lbo-idUSKBN19Y1WE
  6. When you have to overclock RAM from 800 MHz to 1000, just don't.
  7. That is about the dedication of the manufacturer. Acer doesn't have a good track-record when it comes to updates, NVIDIA on the other hand does.
  8. Well, NVIDIA not only makes the tablet, but also the SOC that's inside the tablet. This means that they can provide all the drivers needed for future Android updates. The Predator has not this advantage.
  9. No, it's probably the manufactures limit. Perhaps the cooling solution only can handle those temperatures.
  10. I think this is the easiest way. You can configure your own setup, but compatibility can be an issue.
  11. This is an all-in-one solution: http://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=C2550D4I#Specifications You can install FreeNAS and just use it that way.
  12. No that is not possible. For 12 HDD's you will need CPU power and probably a raid-controller.
  13. They all have a controller. Stuff don't work without a controller, especially with a lot of HDD's.
  14. I always wanted to wear a LiPo battery near my head.
