Could a bios issue cause it? Would it be worth trying to update it again but leave the usb in until it fully reboots? swapped the cpu at another store ill let you know what happens.

Was at cex not a main seller but will look into it seen they got one at another store might see if can swap it.

Cant see anything wrong with the pins or cpu socket tbf looks all good

Xx|| x being ram and tried as swapped them out to test and worked no issue on my old cpu unless the i9 uses a different configuration

ok so now here is something interesting, now got ram in slot 1 and 2 and it has booted up.

Its frustrating tbf as works on 1 stick ram but only 8gb

also what is the chances of the cpu being faulty as just put my old one back in with the originally ram works fine

Ok however i would need to change mobo and possibly ram again ok so 2 sticks of ram does not run but only one will why is this?

Could it be possible my ram is not the correct spec now im running 2400mhz and it says 2666mhz online edit took a ram out and got it to boot

Installed the f14 bios it seems to flash dram and the cpu on the board led

I got a z370-hd3p board

My board supports 8th gen as states on the board was running i5-8600k

In the uk they are normally alot more i spent £290 on it compared to the £500 for the i7 new gen, just tried a bios update to see if that would help first it currently just reboots is that due to cpu not working with the mobo?

I brought a i9-9900k 1151 lga socket will this be capatible with GA-B250-HD3P not sure why text went big, will i just need to update the bios thanks

1440p doesnt seem to be in the resolution list?

Hi so i know so many people have their own opinions on this. I have a 4k monitor currently and like to play beamng and gta v mainly I use my native resolution which is 4k but i feel this is taking a lot of fps performance away would i benefit from going down to 1080 on my main resolution but using the 4k monitor? Or would it make no difference eg beamng runs around 30-50 fps in 4k specs 2070 rtx windforce oc i5-8600k 16gb ddr4 windows 10 thanks

Also will have hdr enabled make a difference? As it appears if i have hdr enabled through windows i am unable to change the different modes or brightness?

That was some really great information thank you. Makes sense now really ill try what the previous comment suggested see how i do it on this monitor as it dont have the best controls haha.

I was wondering if it is though watching it on my iphone 11 pro max there is no weird black discolouration? Is there a way to improve it ? Or is it youtube that causes this issue thanks

Hi all, so I brought the benq el287u 4k monitor im using a 2.0 hdmi cable from my 2070 rtx gpu however i have noticed watching some videos that the blacks are a bit blobby looking any ideas why this is! Photo attached for reference. thanks
